A must have for ceramic projects
Allows me to glaze underside without sticking. So far I've not lost a single pin. Also provides for better airflow around the piece.

A must have tool!
The media could not be loaded. Worked excellently. One pin stuck momentarily but was removed easily with a tiny unnoticeable mark. An excellent tool.

Lot of options
This was very good to use with odd shaped pieces. You can use as many pegs in any arrangement so that the item stays balanced.

Spikes flattened during firing
I used these to fire a very small casserole dish with a glazed bottom surface in a cone 5/6 kiln. The points on most of the pins flattened during the firing leaving a quite large marks where each pin touched the bottom. While this set did allow me to successfully fire the piece with a glazed bottom, I am disappointed that the marks are so visible.Note: some reviewers complained about the pins sticking to the glaze so I brushed mine with kiln wash first and that appears to have done the trick. I didn't have any issues with sticking.

does it's job!
It works! Don't know what else to say. The ceramic holder does great in my kiln for holding knives.

Nice size for smaller kilns
This firing mat is great because of its small size. It is the size of a salad plate. I like that it comes with the stilts, allowing me to fire in 360 degrees. It prevents issues with glaze running and adhering to the bottom of the kiln. The mat withstands my kiln firing of pottery objects. Decent mat, great size, and peace of mind about glaze issues.
