The mounting bracket is cumbersome but would work in a van. I bought this to keep in seatback pockets for rear passengers. After the number of floods, storms, falling trees recently it makes sense to be prepared. I see it as good value for something I hope not to use. Review: Great - The hammer seems good. Just a point to make to those that moan that the mount is no good, it’s actually very sturdy. Do up the tightening wheel as much as you can to fit the mount onto side door pockets but before you do so insert the Allen key into the end of the turning wheel.
