How to Day Trade: The Plain Truth
C**R
Easy read, concise, clear, and full of insight for new day-traders
Book is a good companion to watching Ross Cameron's YouTube videos. It gives his basic search criteria (that took him lots of trial and error to discover) and some examples of student success. He gives a little background to his life story and what it took for him to break through and become profitable. His search criteria helps you find the right stocks at the right time with the right strategy. Success or failure ultimately depends on skill, intuition, pattern recognition, and risk management. His YouTube channel and this book give you the right framework to train yourself. I like that he is against mirror-trading and teaches people how to replicate his process so you don't become dependent upon him. This method really isn't able to be mirror-traded as most trades happen in under 2-3 minutes start to finish. But if you can look in the right place at the right time, eventually it just becomes a matter of timing and intuition. His early struggles gave him years of practice before he started getting gains, which in my opinion shows that it isn't a "get rich quick scheme," even if that is the eventual result. It is a "lose riches quick" scheme until you can figure out how to win, and he is trying to help you make the right adjustments to see profitability. Ultimately timing and intuition are everything. Think of it like being a total amateur that has never played baseball, trying to hit the fastest MLB pitches that have ever been thrown at you. It takes a lot of time to gain necessary skill, and no one hits 1.000. One winner can offset 3 strikeouts so following his basic advice seems like a good method. Theory can be different from reality though, so I find the testimonials at the end of the book encouraging because he has proved that his process is replicable with LOTS of practice. Practice is the key to consistency which is the key to profitability. Learning discipline and gaining skill and intuition is a personal journey that takes time and his book and YouTube content is like a funnel guiding you in the right direction, if you choose high speed scalping and day-trading as your preferred strategy.

This book does a fantastic job of breaking down complicated concepts into easy-to-understand language. Rather than focusing on get-rich-quick tactics, the book emphasizes the importance of patience, consistency, and careful decision-making. Definitely a must read!!!

Excellent Introduction to Day Trade
It is an excellent introduction to day trading. The book does not delve into specific strategies or the mechanics of buying and selling. Still, it provides a good overview of what is required to start day trading and the associated risks and helps you determine if it's a path you're willing to pursue. The risks involved and if you are eager to take it.
