For the price, they're okay.
Aesthetics & usability: They look nice (in my opinion), easily fold in for portability, are sturdily made, and come with a long extension cable. However, they don't fit my head that well. The fake leather padding is so soft that the top "bottoms out", pushing into my temples. I can't eat with these on or wear them very long, or else they give me a headache. If your ears are big, then they won't fit inside these circumaurals. The padding on the cans and the headband are both very, very cushiony though. These cans have very poor isolation because of the way they're designed. While the top of the headphones' padding pushes against my temples, the bottoms don't touch the side of my head, leaving a gap for outside noise to get in. These headphones would have greater isolation if they were able to swivel right and left along the y-axis (which they don't). The cords are thin, and they come out of both sides of the headphones, which can be annoying.Sound quality: Not that great. I could deal with the uncomfortability of these cans if they sounded better, but they really don't. They're good with bringing out the mids and treble, but there is very little bass to be heard, especially when you walk around with these outside or in a noisy environment. The bass is seriously terribly underwhelming, in a very disappointing way. Everything is mushy-sounding (as opposed to being crisp/clear), and there is no punch or tightness to anything. I listen to alternative rock, indie rock/pop, and some EDM, and I wouldn't recommend these headphones for those genres.TL;DR - These cans are fine if you only listen to songs with lots of treble/mids and little bass (like pop, perhaps). Although the price is a lot lower than other headphones in general, cheaper headphones at/lower than this price range with better sound quality exist. Consider other headphones like the Sennheiser HD201 and Monoprice 108324.

Requires constant cord repair
These are the best headphones Ive owned, sound quality wise. I've had them nearly a year and used them often. One huge concern these raised for me is how often the cord would short where the cable and the plug casing meet. I have repaired them in this area four times. FOUR TIMES. In under a year's use. They're quite tricky to repair as well. The wires inside are extremely thin and must not touch inside the cord, there is a thin outer insulation that encloses an inner insulation which all three wires (left, right, ground)share, positioned to just barely avoid touching. Think of a cross section looking like an extremely small circle (1.5mm diameter) with an unbelievably small "mickey mouse" shaped channel, the left and right wires are in the "ears" and the ground is the "head". The wires themselves have a lot of filler "hairs" intermingled which are a headache to cut out during repairs. These don't take much to short either, as you can imagine with such a delicate configuration.I specifically tried to avoid stress fracture from excessive bending in the area the plug casing meets the cord. Turns out that's not what did them in anyway. I mostly listen at my computer, and after tugging the cord out by leaning too far to get something nearby maybe thrice they shorted. they shorted again when I was listening to my MP3 player and I dropped it which yanked the cord out (more forcefully this time). That I loved these enough to go through the headache--literally, soldering fumes and eyestrain are no joke--of repairing four times should speak for their great sound, but they've shorted again and now I'm looking for some new, more resilient cans.

Great headphones, the cord is as short as Cotton Hill.
This is the best pair of headphones I've ever had, and they lasted me a few months before they eventually bit the dust. They ate it because, despite the headphones themselves being wonderful and fitting perfectly on my head, the cord is as short as a pair of earbuds. I seriously have no clue what JVC was thinking when they decided to make the cord this short, but whoever exactly thought of it should have been fired. Anytime I'd turn to my right to grab something off of a nearby table, the cord wold be pulled because it wasn't even two feet long. It would also always be directly in front of my face because of how high the cord was being pulled up, since the headphone jack for my desktop is higher than my head.Great pair of headphones, worst cord I've ever seen on an electronic before. Buy an extender and you'll have no issues.

Good sound quality for the price but...
I really love how it looks and sounds. I am not an audiophile but can tell good from bad and great from good. I would put this somewhere in the good category for the price point. The sound in the beginning was OK, but it improved significantly after few days of burning-in and adjusting the equalizers on my laptop and iPhone. I listen to a variety of music and it does justice to most music types without distorting any frequency ranges. Being a closed back design, it does provide good sound isolation (not noise-cancellation), so you won't disturb people around you with your music. This helps as I listen to music at work. Unfortunately, the same closed back design also makes it almost airtight and due to this it gets hot pretty quickly. It doesn't bother initially but once your ears gets hot, you won't be able to wear it any longer! I am thinking of using this during my commute when it gets cold outside ;-)

Inexpensive and work Great
I am happy with the quality of the sound of these headphones. Especially for the price. Great for training on the computer.

Decent Quality Sound. Poor Construction
I like the audio for the price and the cups and band were comfortable. The construction though is on the flimsy side.
