It does not remember it's last state so what you cannot do is link this to a timer circuit and have it come on automatically. Given this is for outside decking primarily, this seems to be a big error in the design. I cannot use them now as I had intended which was on a timed circuit for garden lighting. The remote is flimsy, I don't see it lasting very long, which again is a problem if this is the only way to operate the lights. The remote signal does not reach very far, 3-4m maximum. I could not even teach my Harmony Elite remote to accept the original remote codes, so there is no back up if the remote fails. One last point is if you configure the lights so that the long extension interconnect is between the 2 banks of 5 lights, then the second bank experiences a notable voltage drop, causing that bank of lights to be dimmer than the first bank.
