I have a pretty large collection of nice fountain pens and I bought this one on a lark. I like hooded nib pens and this one is far better than the price would imply. The first impression is that the build quality and finsh is nice (for a plastic pen). It has a good heft adding to the feel of quality. The grip is smooth and nicely contoured. The nib, mine is an EF, is similar to a 0.38mm and it lays down ink smoothly; it is just a bit wet for an EF but not problematically so. I got a canary yellow model and the color is very vibrant. The cap goes on securely but there is no clutch or click. The cap also posts with a smooth engagement and creates a good balance; for me the pen is not well balanced without the cap posted but I have huge paws. I give this pen high recommendation since it feels and performs like a much more expensive pen.
