Ladybird Favourite Nursery Rhymes

I bought this book from a second hand source via Amazon. it was described as being in 'very good condition' and was at a reduced price to reflect the condition. I received this book in perfect condition and it looks brand new to me. I have used the same dealer since and the books are in excellent condition. So, thank you. The book itself is full of well known nursery rhymes and some less well known ones. It is a treasure and a must for a chill's bookcase.

I bought this for my two children to read to them at night time as i have forgotten how most of the nursery rhymes go and was getting bored of singing the same old nursery rhymes to them each night. The book is beautifully illustrated and has 100 nursery rhymes to choose from. I would definitely recommend.

Bought this book to use in a singing group in my local library so I can sing and we can look at pictures too.

All the classics plus a lot of older rhymes I didn’t know! Possibly a little out of date, would also help to have a singalong CD or app as I don’t know the tune or actions to some of them, have had to make it up!!

What a lovely, gorgeous and beautifully illustrated book! I’m a bit rusty on words of Nursery Rhymes and decided to buy this book so that I could teach my 9 month old grandson the correct rhythms. Will be showing this book to others and I’m sure they will also buy it!! Thanks!!

A beautifully illustrated book that is full of nursery rhymes to read for hours on end. A good quality of print & illustration in a fab children's book that sells for a good price; highly recommend this book. We are very happy with this purchase; thank-you :-)

This book contains lots of songs, some traditional which I couldn’t remember the words to and some new ones too. The pages are nicely illustrated too. It is good how the rhymes are categorised too eg night time & story time. Following purchasing this book I will buy more from the same collection.

Absolutely beautifully illustrated book and not too modern as some of the books for young children are these days. Highly recommended and excellent value for such a large number of nursery rhymes

This is a large collection of "Nursery Rhymes" each one with a bright picture. Since "Nursery Rhymes" are in many cases hundreds of years old, and have a good rhythm, some I sing, some I just read, and most I remember from my own childhood. A few lymerics and poems slipped into this book but it is no worse for it. If we ever lost this book we would have to get it again.

Compelled to write a review for this book as it is truly a gem! With beautiful illustrations accompanying the comprehensive collection of rhymes, my 1 year old daughter(and even before she was one) lights up when I bring out this book. Only downside is as it is not a board book, younger babies tend to tear the pages.

Help is at hand for all new parents needing to amuse demanding infants -- but discovering that they can no longer remember traditional English nursery rhymes, or maybe never knew them. This has pretty much all the standard folk rhymes, plus a couple of newbies (The Owl and the Pussycat) and (perhaps as a nod to bilingual Canadian children) Frère Jacques. Like all the Ladybird series, the quality of the binding and the pages is excellent and the fonts clear and readable (and not intertwined with the pictures, making them hard for any child learning to read). Why should children (or their parents) be given shoddy books because they're 'only' children?
