A Poem for Every Day of the Year Hardcover – September 7, 2017

This has been a great gift for several people including mom. A different poem for every day of the year. This gives us something to talk about that is new and different.

Well done with a poem for each day and info about the poet or the poem.

I teach a middle school creative writing class where my students write poetry. I ordered this book for my classroom, where I have it front and center, bookmarked with all my students' birthdays. If they need a brain break, they are welcome to look at any books in my classroom library, but this book has a place of honor. You can bookmark each day with the red satin ribbon that is attached to the spine, or you can highlight an author, or a topic. There is a poem about Ruby Bridges that I found adjacent to a student's birthday poem which I will use for my Ruby Bridges Unit next month. The book is thick and sturdily bound.It is just lovely. But the bottom line is, who needs any convincing to read a poem a day?

A poem a day is perfect for a tiny break with our children. It doesn't take a lot of time, they learn about poets, their poetry, and word play. One is just enough to get them interested. Poetry party: snacks, poetry, and smiles! Great book

Beautiful book but mine arrived with the binding broken as shown.

I like the variety and the notes on the different authors. I usually end up reading ahead. Nice for when you just want to relax for a minute.

Nice hard covered book, poems are written well and I read one a day not only to myself but also to my wife who appreciates it very much.
