Update: 5/2/2022 I have now used this device for a few months. Still working. The Smart Life app was updated several times since. It is now much more reliable. Suggestion when driving up to the garage: start the app; wait for about 10 seconds before using the app (give time for the internet connection to be established). Even though it is not 100%, it works so well that I am increasing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Another use: our Toyota Highlander's built in garage door opener has such a weak signal that on some days it only works if the car is inches from the garage door. Using AgsHome Smart Door Opener Remote, I can open the garage from a reasonable distance without any problem. Only problem is fumbling around to get the phone out, open the app, establish the connection, etc. You know. Phone stuff. Buy this product. It is easy to install. It works. It is very convenient and helpful. Original review: My garage's third keypad is already failing. I don't think that keypads like Minnesota winters. I also need another remote. I saw this product. Not only is it less money than a replacement keypad, but with this device I can give permissions for all of our family to have access to our door. Installation was simple. The only thing that I did different was to replace the magnet used as part of the closed door detection with a very strong cabinet magnet. Since the edge of the door is metalic, I was able to mount the magnet on our door without needing to drill any extra holes. The opener works well. As this is connected through our homes network, and that is connected to Internet, I can open the door from a distance greater than what works with the garage's own remote controls. I appreciate that the app notifies me whenever the door is opened or closed. That said, once you open the remote app, it does not always work immediately. If you try repeatidly to open the door, you may actually be triggering multiple events: the door may open and close several times. My simple solution is to wait for 10-15 seconds after I open the app to the garage door opener page. Then I trigger the door. Works fine. I have a ton of devices in our home that I control through Alexa. Although Alexa has detected the tool and the opener has the ability to be intergrated, I did not see the use so I do not have Alexa controling the garage. I have been using the AGSHOME Smart Garage Door Opener for a bit over a month. So far so good. Have already recommended to others.

I usually do not leave reviews, but this product is inexpensive and works extremely well. I was not able to find a garage door remote that would work with my garage door opener. I thought we would need to purchase a completely new garage door opener. Instead, we were able to find this device, installation was quick and simple. We also added the app to our CarPlay on our 26 Honda CRV, which makes it convenient to open and close the garage door without having to reach for your phone.

Can't beat the price for this unit. Installation is pretty straightforward but it's worth making sure that your garage door opener is compatible with this wi-fi control unit. I did have to go into AP mode with my bluetooth enabled on my phone in order to pair it properly. It was a breeze once I elected to go in that direction. The magnetic sensors provided are best installed towards the top of the door as there's not enough wire length to make it to either side in my case. There's a metal bracket near the top of my garage door so I simply fashioned the angle bracket provided with some wood and use strong magnets to keep the bracket affixed to the metal component of the garage door. So far, it works well. I don't have it paired with Alexa or Siri or any other assistive tool so, I simply open up the app and just hit the button for it to open and close. Very pleased, so far.

Works as advertised, very responsive, no annoying alarms or delays when opening or closing. Install of the unit was straight forward and easy. My opener is really old and it was simple to install. I am very happy with it. The app Smartlife is a bit of different story. The instructions give step by step except one problem is the app doesn’t work as stated in the directions. Took a awhile and a lot of trial and error to get this set up the way I wanted. The short cut or scenes were a pain to set up. Because there isn’t any info on what to do. No way to edit the short cut once saved if you realize you messed up a simple thing or want to rename things. After I figured that out, Siri was able to be set up. Again took some time and lots of patience to get to work with this app. But in the end it’s working. Update: Siri only seems to work if you have the smart things app open but even then it’s not working consistently. It’s not worth the trouble to use Siri when you have to go into the app, at that point you’ll just push the button to open the door. No issues with connectivity or anything else. Continues to work great. Overall I’m still very happy with this unit.
