I’m allergic to Band-aids and paper tape, they cause me to break out in itchy welts where they’ve been applied to my skin and take a week or two to heal. I am ecstatic that I have no allergic reaction to hydrocolloid dressings, and as a bonus, they don’t leave that sticky tack on your skin that takes days to fully remove like Band-aids do! I can finally cover a cut or wound or bug bite without causing a rash on top of it.You can cut the dressing up into smaller pieces, there is a backing that stays on until you’re ready to use a precut piece. If you’ve got a zit that is draining, cut an appropriate sized piece to cover it up, stick it on, go to bed, and in the morning you’re skin will already be healing! The dressing sticks to your skin but not to wet or moist areas, so it collects the drainage and allows air to contact the skin so that it can begin healing. These are truly a wonderful invention and I wish I had known of their existence long ago.

I’m using these to treat bedsores on my bedridden husband. They work great.

These patches are like mini miracles. I had a 2nd degree burn on my armFrom a broiler pan and knocked it open twice. It was a mess. I used a small piece of one pad for 3 days and covered with waterproof bandage and the tegaderm pad bound to the burn and created new skin. It’s completely healed and barely a scar! These things work.

I’m not sure why these are more widely used for minor cuts and scrapes. I have PIH and I used this on a scratch from an eczema flare up and my skin healed without leaving a mark for the first time in my life.
