Just what I was looking for!
I bought this because I love fresh basil in my cocktails and on my homemade pizza. Soon I will not be able to grow fresh basil outdoors in the cold months. I was very hopeful about the flavor coming thru in the drink. I made a cocktail with gin, fresh lime juice, and sweet & sour, added 1/2 tea of the Monin basil flavoring....amazing! I can't wait to try it with other combinations.I also think this would work great to kick up the "basil" flavor for cooking purposes. The bottle is big and only a small amount is needed, so I think this will make a 100 cocktails at least. I will keep it refrigerated. Monin syrups and flavorings is a must for creating great cocktails and cooking in general. Thanks Monin for helping me create foods my family and friends always enjoy.

Leaky bottle but good flavor
My bottle also leaked in transit but not a whole lot, living at high elevation that's just how it goes sometimes. The flavor is quite accurate and I'm very pleased with it. I'd buy it again

It smells and tastes like a strong chemical cleaning product
It smells and tastes like a strong chemical cleaning product.I made a cocktail with it and threw the cocktail away. If I had to list 1,000 things it smelled or tasted like, Basil would not be on the list.

Not so good
It has a consistent scent of basil, but the flavor doesn't stand out in ANYTHING. I used 1/4 C in a pizza sauce and it had less flavor than when I added 6 leaves after going to the store.

I’d definitely buy it again
I really enjoy the depth in the herbal essence that this add to a taste profile . I’d add this to anything drinks or cooking in the winter that needs a push to make it great.I really like that it’s in a plastic bottle that doesn’t break during shipping

product is fine but had a delivery/packaging issue
Docked off 1 star because it arrived slightly open and spilled all over the inside of the packaging. Funny that the bottle cap was ever so slightly twisted open just enough so that it could get everywhere. 😒 Other than the packaging issue, the product is as expected and smells delicious. I have yet to taste it or use it in a recipe but I’m sure it’s fine.
