New Catholic Bible Student Edition Review: A simplified version of the NCB. - If you're looking for a simplified, bare-bones, version of the NCB, then this is for you! I own two St. Joseph Editions of the NCB, and although they're great, they're also a bit "noisy" with all the graphs, pictures, and devotionals on that glossy paper. This version takes all that noise out and leaves you with the text, notes, and cross references. There are some black and white maps in the back of the Bible, but that's it. As for durability, here you must tread with caution. This is a $10 Bible. Paperback. Cheaper paper. However, this is great if you want to highlight, write in, and tab inside it. It's a good Bible to "beat up" because you're not spending a small fortune. I've seen some reviews that show this Bible arriving in a terrible state. I got lucky. It ships in a paper envelope without any interior protection (minus a rubber band keeping the envelope tight around the book. So it's really at the mercy of USPS. Despite this potentiality, I still recommend this Bible. You can always add a cheap cover later on. A nice Bible for a reasonable price.
Has all the books of the Bible that Luther removed! And it has good sized print! A good Bible for beginners!

Good value but huge and paper thin. Purchased for kids school but had to return because the cover and pages were too delicate.

Stolen Bible
It's a great Bible for my sister & brother in law but it was stolen when my brother in law was in the hospital

The back cover came already bent and slightly torn. Other than that no complaints. The study notes are helpful and the font is easy to read.
