Self-Inking Date Stamp - Military Style/Euro Style - S121 (Black Ink)

Smaller would be better impo... The stamp leaves a crisp clear impression that is 3/4" long even with all the bands pressed tightly together. Looks to be well made. This was the smallest i could find (where the size is listed in the advertisement.

I have been wanting a stamp for my journal, but I write dates military style. This is the first stamp I have ever found with this format and I am thrilled! Getting the inkpad installed is a bit fiddly, but as long as you can thread a needle, you can load this stamp. Attached are a couple photos with style and size. It is that slightly wonky registration that makes it great. I am very happy so far!

So the overall concept and execution of the stamp is good. It flips, deposits ink on the paper and then returns. If you press too hard however, the top, center portion of the date doesn't apply ink to paper well, if at all.

Dislike: the tiny wheels are a little sharp and difficult to turn. Some of that may go away with use. Like: shipped and arrived on schedule. The words and numbers are easy to read. Item is OK value for the money.

This inked date stamp is horrible!!!! After inserting ink pad, I attempted to set the date. Setting the date was the most complicated process I have had to do. My thumb and pointer finger are BLACK!!!! And stained that way. I am totally unsatisfied with this product. I used a pre-inked date stamp in my work and never had this happen. I’m sorry I ordered this product. And it costs to much to send it back. I’ll throw it away.

Works as marketed.

Unlike most Americans, I'm use to the date format most of the rest of the world uses. So I needed this stamp. It works well. I only have two issues; 1) There's no orientation indicator on the top. So you don't know which way to hold it. You just have to stamp something or look underneath. 2) There's no blank slot for dates like 1 Dec 2021. You can't easily put a blank before the "1". Well... you can, but it prints a tiny mark on the paper because you have to put it between numbers. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

Make sure you have a testing stamp after setting your day cause it sometimes doing line up right (always user error) but prints perfectly. I would also recommend buying replacement ink, also don’t leave in a hot car I’m pretty sure that’s why my ink dried up but been perfect since replaced and not left in my car. The wheel is a bit hard to turn when you first get but will loosen up over time as long as you don’t have long nails it will work fine! You will most likely get ink on your hand you first few times setting the days but then you learn how to touch it just right.

I sign and approve a lot of papers. This saved me a tonne of time. Took a little to get used to how to put the ink pad in, but once I knew, it was easy.

Fiddly to line up the numbers Trodats are better but its the format I wanted. Its not bad.

This small wonder of a stamp is easy to set up (insert ink pad into the stamp) and adjust the date, and voila! It's stamps the date beautifully. All in less than a minute to set up. My thumb was a little inked up when adjusting the date but I'm totally cool with that. I have watercolor and ink on my hand and fingers quite often, so a little stain on my index finger and thumb while adjusting the dial is a very minor inconvenience. I love the date format and the crisp clear date on paper after stamping!
