Worked great. Looks great. Time to cure is 24hrs. The longer timeprinted on the tube is a typo. Would absolutely use again!

3 years later still holding strong
Used this to redo all of the seals on my old 40 gallon tank and almost 3 years later it is still holding up strong with no leaks at all. The silicone applied smoothly, bonded great to the glass, and cured into a solid flexible seal. Definitely a great option if you need to reseal or rebuild an aquarium and want something that lasts.

Great stuff
YES it smells right out of the tube. It’s silicone, not air freshener. Get over it. Open a window, it won’t last long. It sets pretty fast so work quickly. This stuff really sticks well to glass. The black is JET black and looks great. What I really wanted to touch base on is the cure time. The bottle says 21 days but apparently that was a typo. Someone on here said they contacted customer service and confirmed that. Anyways, per krakens website the official cure time is 24 hours depending on thickness and temperature. I give it a week and call it good!

A solid aquarium silicone
Excellent silicone. Cures relatively fast. The color is a nice dark black, rather than some others that are a brownish color. Good adhesion.

Prepare Yourself
I use this aquarium silicone to after I spray the foam. After I apply the silicone on top of the spray foam, I press in cocoa coir for the back round of my paladarium. This stuff is super messy and sticky so make sure to use gloves and a mask too, it stinks. Make sure you have a caulk gun too, apparently that is common sense. It comes out very fast once you hit the trigger so be prepared. It does the job well and I have had no leakage issues.

Great Black Caulk/Silicone
“No crackin with this Kraken. Never lackin’ paper stay stacking’.” Durable, easy to use, dries/cures fast. I use this to buildout paludariums. This helps the spray foam maintain a barrier between the land and water features. I also use it to positively adhere small planting pots within the spray foam background. Finally, I use this to apply a substrate to the background for a natural look. The black helps blend everything in.
