I wouldn't gift this product to anyone because when you clamp the dome shut, it doesn't close fully. There is a tiny seem which doesn't close flush against itself, so bits and pieces float out. For just myself it's perfect though. I don't mind it and I'm glad I have it. I feel like the chains that you hold it by could be a little longer but isn't a deal breaker.

At first I was going to return them because the sides didn’t fit together and the leaves were falling out into my drink, then I realized there is a notch/bump and divot that need to be lined up and when you lower the clamp to close it, you have to make sure that notch/bump stays in the divot or the sides do come apart.

The clasp holding the two halves together slips off. It is loose enough that the tea ball opens in the cup, so that tea leaves fall out, thereby failing the purpose of the tea ball in the first place. I won't use it anymore because I could accidentally swallow the clasp if it falls off in the cup.

Love these steeping balls. They're easy to fill, easy to close and lock and they provide a wonderful cup of tea. They're bigger than my others so I can add a little or a lot of loose tea. I cut my tea bags and pour the tea into the steeper for more flavor. My taste buds are all outta whack since beginning Metformin so I can barely taste anything anymore which is why I love these sleepers.As I say before, they clean easily. Just empty them, swish them around in dish water, rinse, and set on a paper towel to dry. I wouldn't recommend putting them in the dishwasher. I don't know if you can but just because you can doesn't mean you should. Seems to me that they could damage something.The chain is long enough for a tall cup and the hook is strong enough to hold on to the side of your cup with a firm grip. I just plop it in my tea and submerge the entire thing and put the lid on my cup. I keep it in while I sip my tea hot or cold. They work well to make cold tea as well.For a mug, I remove it after steeping for a few minutes.Sometimes I chop fresh peppermint leaves and place them in one and steep it along with my loose tea in the other steeper.Sometimes I chop a little ginger root and do the same as I do with peppermint leaves.Try them both for a quick pick-me-up.Oh, a nice added extra, your stool won't stink! :0)Enjoy!

I purchased the Siasky 2PCS Stainless Steel Mesh Tea Infuser set and I am really pleased with my purchase. The infusers are made of high-quality stainless steel mesh and are durable and easy to clean. The 2.1 inch size is perfect for brewing a single cup of tea. I used them a lot for my herb bath, instead of having the herb all in the water. I can just take out the herbs and flowers with the tea Infuser.The tea ball tea strainer is very easy to use and I love the convenience of being able to make loose leaf tea without worrying about tea leaves floating in my cup. The tea diffuser is also great for making tea on the go, as it fits easily into my travel mug.

I like this product very much. You can steep whatever you want with easy clean up.

Review after 1 week of using this globe shaped mesh tea strainer.The item is very low quality. And it has one major design flaw. In my opinion, and in comparison to other styles of tea strainers, this specific item is not worth the money or hassle.The main problem is that the chain that connects to the globe came loose and was lost, within 1 week of using the strainer. So bad design on how it connects or links to the infuser. Basically, it uses a very thin chain, connected with a very thin ring that is kind of like a key chain type ring, that doesn't go around itself twice. So there is a almost no overlap in the ring to keep the chain that holds the strainer in place. Inevitably the strainer will move around in the tea and while washing, and the chain just came off too easily. Bad design number 1.The 2nd bad design is that the clasp that keeps the two halves of the mesh globe closed, does not have any major resistance to keep the ball closed. It simply slides into place once the two halves of the mesh come together to form a ball. But there is no little bump, or click that happens when the clasp closes. So basically it is in place only by the mechanics of the movement and gravity. The problem here is that once you move the strainer up and down with the chain, the clasp can and does open and the strainer lets out the tea.This whole clasp in turn has the chain attached to it, so that when you pull on the chain to strain the tea, it pulls on the clasp, helping to open it, and let the tea leaves out of the strainer.In my view the globe itself is too big for a single cup of tea. Unless you like your tea very strong. I would say it fits about 2 regular sized tea bags worth of tea in it.The idea of being able to have a re-usable 'tea bag' that can stay inside the cup, without sticking out (like some other tea infuser designs), is a good one. But the way this particular item is designed, coupled with the low quality chain, makes it a return item for me.The infuser style that has a flexile silicone 'stem' and a metal mesh as the bottom works much better for me. And the size of the mesh area is much closer to a regular tea bag.

These are too small and hard to empty. The clasp is awkward and the chain too short and useless. Larger, better clasp, I.e screw type, and no chain would produce a much better product. Garbage don’t buy this. I
