Awesome... James Hoffman sent me here.
Excellent quality for the price. Small, simple to use, and has great build quality, it feels very sturdy. It also comes with a silicone grip for the grinder, as well as a small brush to clean away coffee dust. Probably alike many others, I purchased this on the recommendation of YouTuber James Hoffman, and I am not disappointed. I agree very much with his advice that a grinder and fresh coffee can be #1 upgrade for your setup, if you are currently buying pre-ground coffee. Pre-ground coffee becomes bitter quickly as it oxidizes. Obviously, it is less convenient than an automatic grinder: it requires you to manually dial it to the grind size you want each time you use it, which can be a hassle if you like to frequently like to drink different types of drinks (e.g., I like espresso, Vietnamese coffee, pour overs, and cold brew). However, it gets easier to remember the dial adjustments over time, and after about a week of using it, I began to remember how much to turn it without having to reset it fully. Additionally, if you are the forgetful type, there is nothing wrong with leaving yourself a written note of what the current grind size is. This is a great hand grinder for those like me who do not have space or desire to maintain a separate appliance just to grind coffee. It would make a great gift for people who like making their own coffee at home, but are still drinking pre-ground coffee.

Portable greatness
I always travel with my portable electric moka pot and used to bring pre-grounded coffee as I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a good manual grinder. That is, until I saw a video review from Hoffman and I decided to give it a try. Ohh wow, this little device is magnificent, lightweight and sturdy. If I had to find a con or a fault, it is that it can leave a mess. I mean, without RDT (lightly spraying the beans with water) which is discouraged by the manufacturer as apparently the internals are very sensitive to water damage, be prepared to cleanup after yourself using the provided brush. It is a very small price to pay for the quality of grind and ease of use.

Fantastic gateway to pour over or the like at home... Definitely recommend
I've been using this for a while now and thoroughly appreciate it. Given my approach to coffee making (1-3 cups a day on weekends) using a Hario Switch, this is perfect. It does a good job with the grind, it's reasonably easy to use, and it has held up. Quality for the price. A few notes: - Static is real. I live in a humid climate and I still need to get a little water on the beans before I grind lest the static kills me. - Definitely will find that a fine grind starts to get hard to turn. Not, Arnold Schwarzenegger hard, but still not easy. - Wish it weren't plastic and that the top stayed on a bit better, and that it had a slightly bigger hopper. - I would not want to use it to grind for a 12-cup drip machine. For the price, can't be beat, and it was a perfect entry way into home grinding using the Hario Switch. I haven't second guessed the decision once, and very glad I didn't splurge on an electric one. Have recommended it to my coffee snob friends with no shame.

Excellent grinder!
Excellent grinder! This is my first manual grinder. It’s a great price for the beginner. I had purchased cheaper models and returned them all. This has a consistent setting for whatever grind you need. The handle is smooth. It holds about 20g of beans and grinds pretty quickly, smoothly, and fairly quiet. It also comes apart for cleaning. Wonderful for French press and pour over so far.

all you need for single serve filter or pourover brewing
purchased this over the k6 simply because i only need a single server grinder. grind quality is good. i didn't need a grinder for espresso which i think is a bit demanding for this grinder as is light roasted beans. i brew only medium and dark roasted beans, and for these it does it's job. the problem of static can be remedied with a light spray of water. the body of the grinder is made of a plastic composition that feels very durable and would take considerable, deliberate abuse to break it. it is easy to adjust the grind setting and it does not drift off the setting it is set to by the user. the grind particles are consistent, with remarkably few boulders or fines, and with use the burrs will improve their ability for a more consistent grind due to the seasoning of the burr blades. this grinder is fine and all you need at a very reasonable price for someone that drinks coffee at home, and only needs to brew a couple of cups of coffee each day. no need to go to the higher line of kingrinders (K series), unless you want to serve coffee to more people than yourself,(grinder capacity=20g), or if you want an espresso grinder and you are on a tight budget.

Great price
Still dialing in the grind size so a little tricky. But seems to work pretty well. Especially for the price.

Makes a pretty consistent grind for the money
Makes a pretty consistent grind and you can get pretty fine grounds from it on setting 9. I make pour-over coffee, myself.

I’m pretty new to the world of coffee and learning what makes a great cup. One thing I quickly learned is that, besides the beans, the grinder plays a huge role in the whole process. You can have high-quality beans, but without a good grinder, it’s hard to get the best results. That said, I don’t want to drop hundreds of dollars on fancy gear, so I’ve been investing time researching products to find solid quality that makes a great cup, but without veering into premium price territory. While researching manual grinders, I came across James Hoffmann’s review of the Kingrinder P1, and his video really helped me understand what to look for in a grinder. In his review, Hoffmann said the P1 is a well-built, sturdy grinder that felt premium because of its aluminum body and stainless steel burrs. He was impressed by how consistent the grinds were and also liked how easy the grind adjustment was to use. Hoffmann mentioned the comfortable handle and the portability of the setup, which made it a great option for travel. Overall, he said the P1 delivers great performance for the price and produces really good coffee. That said, he did note that some more expensive grinders offer finer control, particularly for espresso. I figured that if Hoffmann was a fan, it would be more than good enough for me, so I came to Amazon looking for the P1. Enter the P2. When I looked, the P1 was unavailable, but I found the P2 and I’m really glad I did. From what I’ve read and experienced, the P2 feels like a natural evolution of the P1. It keeps a lot of what made the P1 great (solid build quality, ease of use, and portability) but adds a more advanced burr set that improves grind consistency, especially for espresso. My experience: The grind consistency on the P2 is excellent, and the adjustment system is super easy to use, which is perfect for someone like me who’s still learning. I also really appreciate how comfortable it is to use. The body is pretty much the same as the P1, so it’s also compact and portable. The build quality feels solid and well-made. It definitely has a premium feel, but thankfully without the premium price tag. From what I can remember, Hoffmann’s only real issue with the P1 was that it wasn’t super consistent for espresso grinds. Luckily, the P2 seems to address that. From what I’ve read, the P2 performs better with finer, more consistent espresso grinds, thanks to its 7-star burr set (compared to the P1’s 6-star burr set). I’m not an expert, but I’ve loved the results so far as much for espresso as for my pour over coffees. I’m really happy with my purchase. It does everything I need it to, performs well, and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg like some of the higher-end brands.

Recomendado.

Lightweight and robust. Utilizes high quality steel burr with consistent grind. It fits inside the aeropress plunger making for a compact coffee set up for hiking.

I’m currently using the Breville 870 espresso machine with the included automatic grinder. No complaints with it but I wanted something that I could use to make a decaf espresso later in the day without going through the onerous process of removing beans from the Breville. I was not sure if I would use the manual grinder long term, so did want something lower cost in case this was to become a counter ornament. After much online investigation and review reading, I settled on the Kingrinder P2. Set up was simple. There are no included instructions but I did find a P series manual online. In the manual, they write that you set the dial all the way clockwise until you can’t turn any further and then count back counter clockwise 30 clicks. Using this method, I am now getting better shots that ever before. What a difference! I must say that I have not even tried the decaf yet. I have used 2 beans. The Lavazza Rosa is a lighter roasted bean, and I noticed that the turning of the grinder is a bit more difficult. However, the shot is noticeably creamier, and pouring near the 40 second mark. I can finally taste the notes off chocolate that this bean is known for. The next one was the Ethical Bean company Lush, which is darker roasted and more oily. The grinding was easier and the shot was also amazing, much better than any other attempt with an automatic grinder. Both beans took me approximately a minute to grind for 20 grams of beans. I have read people complaining that there is static, and there is. It does not detract from the experience for me. Neither does the plastic body. It still feels well made and the burrs are obviously well worth the low cost of this grinder. Like others, it makes me wonder what the K series could bring to my coffee experience. This could be a gateway grinder to other levels within the Kingrinder product offering. Buy with confidence.
