The first night on holiday we encouraged her to go in at bedtime and zipped it up. After barking for about 30 seconds she went quiet and stayed quiet until the following morning. Subsequent nights she was quiet and happy in there and actually used it during the day for rests. Excellent product, robust, strong zips and very easy to put up and down. The carry handles are a bit unnecessary on the Xl version in my opinion as its too large to be used as a carrier. It’s easy to assemble but I did have problems with the connection rods as the spring is very strong but found if you drop the rods rather then bring them up to you and connect them it works better . It’s lovely and roomy with 2 doors & a fluffy white mat . I chose the large size and it was more than adequate for a medium size dog weighing 10kg , the pockets I put dog treats in .
