Took a while to adjust the straps, but now fits nicely, does the job well, good value.

This is good value for money. I like the option of lifting the faceplate without the need to remove the helmet. No complaints, works ok

The welding mask works perfectly for MIG and stick, but it doesn't work for TIG, mine kept flickering on and off while welding. I swapped the protective screen, swapped the battery and put the sensitivity on max and it still switched off while welding. I might have been doing something wrong as I'm still new to welding but that's my experience with the mask. It's amazing for stick and MIG, but it doesn't work for TIG and will just arc flash you

Very impressed with this item, works really well

Bought this because I needed a reactive mask as all work had was the full on blacked out masks. Boss wouldn’t pay for a 3M mask or just a decent welding mask so I could do my college welds. Ignored my emails so I bought this and to be honest, it’s very good for the price. Seeing as welding masks can get over £1000 this is very decent beginning mask, also doubles as a cutting/grinding mask with the flick of a switch. Only thing wrong is that the dimness could be a little darker as even on the lowest setting sometimes I can’t even see right for an hour but I do like being within 4mm of my welds as I like seeing the metal fuse but that’s a me problem, would recommend.

A couple of things I noticed straight away with the fitment is not great this quite a narrow mask! also the head band trap is a bit of fiddle trying to adjust to your head then the ratchet to position the mask in a up position dos not work very well.

I'm a weekend hobby welder and just used the helmet today. Very nice and comfortable headgear with heavy padding on the back strap. Did not pull out my hair as I find the bare plastic straps tend to do if not wearing a beanie. Stays on my head and very easy to adjust to lower the hood with a quick nod of the head. Came fully assembled with extra battery and front lens covering. Very clear viewing area. Like that all the controls, except the test button are on one side. Much clearer and more comfortable than my older Lincoln hood. I was always needing to adjust the Lincoln and it inevitably would easily fall off my head. Could never seem to get it to stay put. Time will tell how well the Toolium will stay on my head when I'm crawling around underneath a project. The Lincoln has served me well, however the Toolium with its brighter viewing technology will become my primary helmet.
