These packs of multiple strings of a single gauge are great for replacing the ones that in my experience break the most.I do a great deal of string bending in my playing, most often on the GBE strings, so they're straining at the bridge and nut quite often and, occasionally, one goes ping long before the set gets played out and needing complete replacement. My string sets also last a long time thanks to, I assume, my body chemistry, so it is my way of keeping the thicker strings on the guitar for their full life.Took me years to discover that these sets were available, now I can't imagine playing without these in reserve.

I play 12 string and tend to break the top G 8 and the top D 12. This is a great option rather than changing 12 at a time.

these are guitar strings and i change ones over ,that is why i got them , so instead of having 9 11, i do not use the 9 ,instead , i have 11 12 as the top strings.
