**Q: Can I use this casing for bologna?**
A: If your OK with 1-1/2 to 2 inch diameter bologna then go ahead That sounds pretty good. Natural casings can't expand that much to make sandwich size bologna.

**Q: Is this the right size for breakfast sausage links?**
A: No these casings are Italian sausage size.

**Q: Will smoke penetrate these casings?**
A: Yes, but they are as waterproof as balloons. My sausage meat had water in it, and after I smoked them they looked like water balloons. Poke it, and the water then leaked out.

**Q: It mention halal, what is the ingredient with the casing? What type of animal casing is this?**
A: it is natural pig,not man-made,it has HACCP not HALAL, so it's not suitable for kosher

I case it's not obvious, this casing is collagen and not natural intestines. With that said, it was easy to work with, strong enough, yet very edible. I used it to make pepperoni and the 2" size was perfect.
