The Walking Dead - Season 1-3 [DVD] [2010]

What a brilliant series, my wife is an absolute fan who this was brought for. Andrew Lincoln is brilliant as Rick Grimes. The rest of the cast are all brilliant, I know people are obsessed with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) but they are all very good characters, you feel in touch with most of them and when deaths do happen it can be very shocking and upsetting. I don't think a lot of actors/actresses can pull that off.Its shocking and gory and I like that it doesn't always follow the comic books, it keeps you in suspense and you just have to keep watching.This is definitely not for the faint hearted, its very gritty and can be disturbing at times. The first 3 series are full of action, but also has family, friends, lots of enemies and never ending deaths that will shock.A brilliant series and well worth watching.

I bought season one in Asda and loved it, so had a look on Amazon for season 2- but quickly realised it for the price I may as well buy season 1-3.I opted for the Super Saver delivery- and it arrived in 2 days!- earlier than expected!The series itself didn't dissapoint whatsoever- I watched the first episode of season 2 and was Hooked- I actually phoned in sick so I could stay in my warm bed with my partner and watch the rest. We were so into it that we got through season 2 and 3 in 2 days- staying up late, throwing sickies and basically going of the radar just to watch it- first time I've pulled a sickie!Hours of entertainment, worth the money. Will be pre-ordering season 4 today!

I won't bother reviewing the actual series, like some people do, as we all should know that's fantastic! If you haven't seen it - why?? Buy this item, quick!Instead, a look at the product here. All discs were pristine and playable, great quality. No sound drop-outs or glitches, no change in quality from one disc or series to next; just absolutely perfect.Delivery was well within the time frame (but it's fulfilled by amazon so no surprise there, still a nice thing) Ordered Thursday, got it on Saturday (and watched half of it by the end of the weekend!)All in all, just brilliant. Best beer money I ever spent!

Very different from the usual Andrew Lincoln roles. My favourite roles of his in the past have been in This Life and in Teachers, in both of which he's played a professional whose limited concentration span makes it difficult for him to buckle down to his job. In "The Walking Dead", he's different. He's American, for a start.You know the story already - you've read the description above. So suffice it to say that this is fine drama, packed full of some very strong characters who create plenty of friction between themselves even before the zombies come lumbering over the horizon......

The Walking Dead is a truly great series and gripped me from the first episode . The special effects when the walkers are killed are an awesome bloodfest of epic proportions . Our fine English actor , Andrew Lincoln , stars and leads the group on the long trek to survival against the odds . Some don't make it but the main bunch just keep going not knowing what's around the next corner , or indeed under the bed . Scarey stuff well acted well written top notch just love this show . Watch it ( if you dare ? ) .

For anyone who loves a movie about the end of the world / zombie takeover.......please buy this as it won't disappoint. Firstly it's not a movie , it's a series which is even longer and even better. Will get you through these dark nights without being bored. This series is easy to get hooked on and will have you on the edge of your seat .......the only downside is when your nearing the end of series 4 and you want the story to keep going and going. Compared to prison break and breaking bad...it's up there for sure

Ok series for my son

I watched a couple of episodes and could not watch anymore , the image quality was not very good on a HDTV , although it is deliberately like that to give a dark/frightened feeling . However i returned it no problem and got credited in my account within minutes

Eine der besten der besten der besten der besten Serien der letzten Jahre!Ich bin ein absoluter Fan - ob auf Deutsch oder (wie bei dieser Box) englische Originalfassung, beides ist klasse! Von der Box bin ich total begeistert, vom Preis (noch immer) völlig überwältigt!Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Super Serie! Bis jetzt die Einzige, die wir bis zur letzten Staffel/Episode durchgeguckt haben. Und vor allem auf Englisch 100x besser als auf deutsch. Der Preis war damals (30€) unschlagbar.

The collection was perfect to play, and the series is soooo gruesome, yet so addictive, I am ordering the next three seasons!
