I make at least 6-9 packs of popcorn a week for watching movies with friends. Myself and one other friend are more critical then the others and noticed immediately a taste and texture difference between the two brands. The popcorn is still good and I only had one packet that the salt wasn't in the packaging. Noticed more unpopped kernels but receive almost the same yield amount compared to the Great Northern brand. But I have made better popcorn and as soon as I am done using all the packs I am switching back to Great Northern brand for a few dollars more. Most of my friends aren't nearly as critical and I still eat a bag or two each movie night.
