DECHRA MalAcetic Otic Cleanser, 8 oz.

This was recommended by my vet for ear infections which my dog is prone to getting. Works great! I squirt a little in his ear, massage gentle and then wipe out the excess. The tip is great for directly the medication liquid into the ear. Usually I can notice a different with my dog in a few hours. The bottle lasts quite a while and is a great value. Doesn't have the best smell but not a deal breaker for a medication.

This saved my dog's life. He started crying then screaming. I rushed him to the vet who could not find out what was wrong with X-rays and blood tests. He guessed it was a nerve in his back. He put my dog on steroids and pain pills. That helped a little but my dog was really suffering and I had to lock him up in a room on the other side of the house because of the screaming. I remember going into the room on a Tuesday morning because I had made up my mind I would put him down the next Thur.Luckly he was on the floor pushing the left side of his head into the floor. I immediately knew it was his ears. Before this he made no indications, like scratching that it was his ear.About 5 years earlier he had an ear infection and I still had some prescription meds. So I started using his meds and since they never worked very well, I drove around town going to every pet store and vet to find something that was not alcohol based (because I knew those do not work). I found this at a vet and tried this and within hours he stopped screaming then a few hours more he stopped crying. Within a day he was back from the dead.So I wish I could give this Googolplex stars.Also my doctor prescribed the same thing for me, now that is gone ($10 for 1/4 oz) so I use this also and I personally know how fast it works. I put a few drops on a q-tip and clean my ears and the same for my dog.Edit:Aug. 13, 2017 Issaic RIP, He was 16 years 3 months old (mini Schnauzer). He had a stroke and was too old and weak to recover. So he got over 2 additional years from this cleanser and never had ear trouble once I started using this product. I still use it on myself and my other dog.

My dog was shaking his head a lot, ears mainly but there was nothing in them and they were clean. We had just had his annual visit so I knew his ears were clean. He just kept digging in them and when we would rub then he seemed to get relief. Reminded me of when us humans get that weird itch down in our ears. This was recommended by a fellow lab friend. IT WORKED! I had to use it for 2 or 3 days and then again here and there but he's so much better. There is a tiny scent but it's good. Application, well yeah that depends on your dog...mine is 115lbs and it wasn't awful but when he sees the bottle, he runs. Have lots of cotton balls on hand.

I have a lab with chronic ear issues. They get really yucky unless I clean them regularly with the MalAcetic solution. It's what my vet uses to clean my dogs ears, so I do the same. Seems to keep things in check.

I had a horrible ear infection two years ago with a ruptured ear drum and I was on a total course of 6 antibiotics courses comprised of four different types and a few repeated courses, steroid ear drops and lastly acetic acid ear drops as a Hail Mary, before it finally resolved. Went to my primary twice and the ENT three times. The pain was unbelievable and I have had children and kidney stones and this was ON PAR. I used up the acetic acid ones anytime I felt a slight flare up to prevent another middle ear nightmare from hell successfully, until I ran out. Then, I started to get a little itchy with discomfort/pain again in my ear canal and said HELL NO, did some research and found this. I said hell if it works for visibly dirty dogs and cats, why not me? Best decision ever. Used this, took a few ibuprofen and my ear subsided within a day and a half, symptom free and I’m not anxiously awaiting a brewing storm. As a side note, if you actually have a deep (middle or inner ear infection) this very likely won’t work (can’t really penetrate past ear drum) and might wanna see your doc because you could need antibiotics, etc and don’t want to risk going deaf :)

I just put a couple drops on a half of cotton ball rub in ear. Also smells clean

My vet recommended these drops for my Akita/Lab mix. She is almost 8 years old. She is really bad allergies. She scratched her ear really hard and essentially gave herself cauliflower ear...or so I thought. But on top of that, the same eye was also runny. So, when we had an appointment for her skin allergy and I also asked about her ear because I was using a different product (I am the only person she will let touch her ear), the vet specifically recommended this product. Within three days, some of the swelling went down (Pandora DOES have cauliflower ear, though), AND her eye stopped looking so bad, too. She will also now let my husband doctor her ear as well. <3

I like that it is easy to apply with cotton balls. Dog doesn't seem to mind.
