I did not dry it in the dryer. I have had many mattress protectors and the dryer always ruins them even when drying on low. I just draped it right side up over two chairs under a ceiling fan at 8am. By the time I got home from work it was dry and ready to go!I have not poured water on it to test it but I am sure it will protect my mattress for years if I don't dry it in the dryer.
