It came time for me to replace some old teflon pans and move into a healthier option with stainless steel. I decided on Heritage steel since they make their pans in the US and don’t want to sell pans with coatings that wear out and contribute to waste. They also have a lifetime warranty and will stand behind it. I got the 5 piece essentials set to compliment an Instant Pot and a 10.25” lodge skillet for my kitchen. Thanks Heritage Steel for coming up with great sets. With this setup I can cook almost anything. Onto the pans: they’re the best I’ve ever used. The handles are superb, pans are not too heavy or light, and they heat very quickly and evenly. I particularly like the shape of the 10” fry pan - the slightly smaller base and more gently sloping sides hold oil in a smaller area which helps food like eggs cook better. The 4 quart saute pan is also a great size. It’s fantastic for cooking spaghetti as you can use less water but the noodles fit fully. Everything I cook in these tends to taste better, probably because heat control is more even and responsive, and of course, the wonderful flavor you can get from fond. If you’re on the fence with stainless steel but like to cook, you should definitely get these! Stainless will teach you to cook better and is the healthiest, most durable cookware you can use.

My son is a chef and uses the same brand I bought this not knowing he also used them , when I told him about my purchase he said “ you will not be sorry” yes they are a little high but the first time you use it and clean it with stainless steel powder you will want more sets like I do! Using stainless steel pan is very easy to clean follow instructions that come with your set and you will feel like a pro in your kitchen. The pans are well made, even heat. I use gas and I have to set it as low as I can and get great results no more high heat to cook!
