Worked perfect for sons derby car! I did have to do some tweaking as initially we made it too heavy but in the end he won and had a great time!

The weights are exactly what I expected. The putty is similar to silly putty but more dense. The putty made it very easy to fine-tune the overall weight during weigh-in inspection for the pinewood derby.

We ordered this for our kids pinewood derby car and upon opening the package it looked returned. It was missing the weighted putty so we didn’t end up having the correct amount of added weight.

The weights are good to go. Other reviewers complained about only receiving 3 oz of weights. If you READ THE DESCRIPTION, it states that it comes with 3 oz of weights and an ounce of putty, making it a 4 oz set. Please don’t judge this product on someone else’s ignorance.

I drilled three holes in the back end of the car and fed these cylinders into the holes and then at weigh in day I just added the exact amount of putty that was needed to get to the full weight limit.

Would not use putty on the service of the car. It stayed malleable and was soft to the touch after painting
