This is definitely you get what you pay for. We have lots of dress up days at school so I try to buy inexpensive items. The hat was ok. It fit my adult head just fine and my head is a little small. Would probably fit a child but not someone really young. It had wrinkles I probably could have gotten out before wearing but I was ‘end of the school year’ tired and honestly didn’t even try. The adhesive worked well and kept the beard in place all day long. The downside was that it left a slight rash on my skin. My guess is that worn for a short period of time it would not have caused any irritation. Overall pretty good for the price. I would probably buy it again.

Comes in a package so obviously it is a bit wrinkled. I ironed out the creases on low heat being careful not to burn it. Next I sewed the beard into the hat so we didn’t have to worry about beard falling off so we never even used the adhesive so I’m not sure if that works well or not. My son’s head is also very tiny so I sewed a bandanna into the hat to make it tight.

If you’re looking for something cheap for a school project or presentation, this is for you. Obviously it’s cheap, so I doubt it would last for a long time. But it worked amazing for a half day presentation my son did for school. I’d highly recommend it.

Was actually better quality then I was expecting after reading some reviews. My large 8 year old has a large head and it fit him just fine for his Lincoln project. Great price for something that won't be used long. The felt for the hat was nice and stiff to stand up. Just a bit wrinkled from being packed flat but not really a problem. The beard we did forgo, the adhesive is very poor (just two or three very small pieces of flimsy double sided tape) but could be secured to the face with other adhesive or adding more double sided tape for the day. We did get to reuse the hat by adding red and white striped paper wrapped around for a Cat in the Hat look too!

We bought this as a gift for a high school history teacher who likes to add a bit of theatrical flair to his lessons. The packaging is similar to a standard Halloween costume and the quality average, but he is only going to wear it a few times a year. He got a bit kick out of it and plans to use it for his lessons. For the price, quality is fine - it's not realistic, but it's good to keep the audience engaged. Not sure about the adhesion as he has not used it yet but will update when he does.

Used for a recital . Mustache needed adjusted I added a string and punched holes in end to wrap around his head to stay. Otherwise it kept falling.

Okay product. Little big for my 8 year old and the hat is cloth, so doesn’t stay straight. Ok for price.

i desperately needed a quick costume for my son's presentation in class. this was the perfect solution (the hat comes a bit wrinkled though since it's polyester, but it doesn't look awful). and it isn't too wide for the smaller kids' heads. the beard was a bit hard to attach since it doesn't come with an adhesive. i ended up taping the sides to his face with regular tape. a friend in his class also bought this and she had the great idea of tying a rubber band onto the beard so it stuck on his head like a mask. so, overall, not bad, given the price! and just another bit of info. i had issues with the timing of delivery and emailed costume craze directly. they were FABULOUS!!!!!!! they had the best customer service ever!!!!
