M04 Subwoofer Amplifier for Home Theater Mono Channel Digital Class D Integrated Power Amp for Passive Speakers Subwoofer

Got this subwoofer amp to bypass the amp component of my active subwoofer which died months ago due to a peak in voltage. My amp was those that work in "stand-by" mode, so they are always powered up somehow. Replacing the board with a new one (original) was too expensive, even more expensive than what the sub costed me in the first place, so in order to not throw the box and the woofer cone to the trash, I decided to just rewire things up in order to bypass the sub's integrated amp, so I got this GREAT little FOSI amp to power my "now passive" sub. Things worked great and my sub is now back to life, shining again. The M04 Fosi Amp is a great choice as it is POWERFUL, noiseless (at least to my ear), very small and does not generate any important heat. It comes with a power adapter, so you only need the cables to connect the input signal and the output signal to the passive subwoofer. I used the convenient "bare wire connection" to hook the modified sub to the speaker output of the Fosi Amp. Worked NICELY. Quality of the M04 Fosi AMP is VERY GOOD, in a very neat, compact and ellegant BLACK enclosure. It is definitely worth the money, which is NOT AT ALL expensive, but quality exceeds by far the amount paid for this amp. Until now, i'm really loving it.

Works perfectly. My use case doesn't push it so can't comment on the power, but it sounds good to me and does the job it is intended for.

Had two of these for a short while now. I’ve tried my setup a few ways. If you have 4ohm speakers, this won’t push much when connected to an LFE. However, if you use speaker level output (by wiring into an rca jack), this will push plenty of sound. It’s frustrating because I want to use my receivers LFE, but cannot because little sound is achieved in that setup. The switch from full-range to sub works great. The frequency dial would be better if it had hz dial markers (around 1/2 way is close to 80hz). The volume does what it should just fine. Build quality is great. Only issue is the line-level input gets me barely any sound on the 4ohm speaker. (6.5” passive woofers in a sub enclosure which is easily getting down below 35hz.)

I was surprised it actually performs better than I thought it would. I have Sony receiver and an anthem receiver, it works well on both. However if you have room correction software it does play havoc with the software because it doesn't recognize the standalone amp. Overall I would say that this is an excellent purchase and it will definitely raise your bass game.

Used this to hook up a sub to a sound system for my workout room. Works exactly as expected and I’ve had no problems. Very powerful on a Sony xplode that is probably 10 years old. Great price and great sound for such a simple piece of tech. Hooked to a boss receiver.

I bought this sub amp for my setup because it didn’t have a direct sub out and this offers better controls I was amazed by the quality of the sound for a cheap sub amp it amazing quality. It felt heavy duty and looked like it could last. The sound that comes out is really crisp. Overall I recommend this product to everyone who needs a small compact sub amp for home.

I found this amplifier to be an excellent option for a passive subwoofer. It should be an excellent choice for a passive speaker but I have an AUDIOENGINE S-6 micro subwoofer that has its own amplifier built in it. For the money I highly recommend you give it a chance and if you find you don’t like it then you can just return it. I see no reason to expect it to not do what it was designed for and at the current price I feel it’s a bargain. Just buy because the only way to see if it works for you is to try it out on your own system.

Well built and easy to connect. Does a great job at a reasonable price. Clear sound with no noticble distortion. Highly recommend.

Bought this to replace the buttkicker gamer 2 amps that is 16x larger. This little amp works so well and has less delay between Rumble and press time also much more defined Rumble. Great little sub amp for buttkicker.

It works well with a passive sub-woofer and with the cut-off frequency adjusted right it compliments the sound of the rest of the system (high-end speakers which just lack deep bass).
