I feel I am in seventh heaven!! My old Mac was very slow (as it is ancient - like me!!) and so I decided on my retirement to retire my old Mac (my hubby is going to use it to write books which will not tax it's capacities!).The new machine starts up immediately and everything is so quick!! Moving my data via time machine was a doddle and within a short space of time I was up and running.It is a great addition to my 'Mac' family (I am all Apple products - can't abide Windows or Android!!)

Apple silicon once again takes a bog leap forward from the days of the M1 chip that debuted in 2021 in such a short time they have become more powerful allowing you to run software like Logic Pro and Final Cut with a breeze even for daily tasks like emailing during the net or running other applications this base model iMac just breezes through for the money its both expensive and a bargain depending what you are wanting from your computer. The reason I like Apple computers like this iMac is that Apple builds the hardware and runs the OS having Apple providing the updates to Mac O/S is security to me knowing my Mac is protected. Yes you could buy a PC for less but the performance the hardware the software won't be beaten hands down a brilliant computer that fits into my home apple ecosystem.
