CS 5460 Ultra-Soft Toothbrush for Adults with Ultra-Fine Filaments and Compact, Slightly Angled Toothbrush Head for Improved Tooth and Gum Health, Assorted Color

I love the super soft bristles of this brush. My gums are not as tolerant of my regular toothbrushes, including my Sonicare. They are receding and sore. So I switched to this ultra soft brush and have already noticed a difference in how my gums feel. The bristles are not made from nylon and they are gentler. They clean very well, too. The quality is very high, probably because they are made in Switzerland and not China. I'm really happy and I stocked up on a few more. I like the 5460 and the velvet versions.

This toothbrush seems to have a million bristles that are all tapered, not cut (thus no sharp edges) and is built with a good angle for ease-of-use. I have veneers on my teeth so I use this brush along the gumlines in the front top and bottom as a second brushing after I've already used my Sonicare brush which works great but is too harsh for the front top and bottom gums. Brushing twice, once with Sonicare, then again manually while paying special attention to sensitive areas where the veneers and gums come together seems to do the trick to keep my cosmetic dentistry in excellent condition after 15 years I have no gum recession in most areas and only a tiny speck in other areas but that always happens with ageing regardless. I've never found an American toothbrush that works perfectly for the purpose I need it for so I will continue buying these very gentle yet effective Swiss brushes.

I wanted understand what set this bristles apart from other brands, and if those more layers were just a gimmick. I’m only couple days in, and I’ve been following their tips. My gums honestly feel so much better and the brushing experience is nice.

I supposedly am a aggressive brusher according to my dentists and my receding gumlines, although I recently switched to a Sonicare that lets you know when you're pressing too hard and the alarm almost never alerts me. I'm thinking it's been the hard bristles all these years even though I always buy the "soft" bristles, even for my Oral B rotary toothbrush. Anyway, I've started using this toothbrush in the morning when I really don't have too much "junk" on my teeth since I brushed thoroughly just the night before. This is also the toothbrush I use for applying my flouride toothpaste at the end of my oral hygiene routine. It's very soft but still effective, at least for my use.

I honestly think these Curaprox brushes are in a different league than the standard ones you find at the grocery store. Most soft brushes still feel kind of scratchy to me but these have 5460 bristles that feel more like a velvet cushion on your gums. It is a massive change if you are used to those hard nylon bristles that usually end up making your mouth feel sore. If you struggle with brushing too hard or have sensitive spots this is probably going to be a total relief for your daily routine. It is a huge improvement for anyone with touchy gums. The handle has this weird octagonal shape that actually helps you hold it at a 45-degree angle without having to put much effort into it. Because the bristles are made of polyester instead of regular nylon they don't get all soggy and soft after you have used them for a few minutes. The only real downside is the head is pretty chunky because there are so many bristles packed in so reaching my back molars is a bit tight. It takes a little getting used to compared to those slimmer heads on basic brushes but the results are worth it. You just have to adjust your grip to reach those back spots. You really have to watch out for the fakes on here because a few people have gotten stiff knock-offs that aren't the real Swiss made ones. If you get a pack and the bristles feel scratchy or stiff just send them back because the real thing should be the softest brush you have ever used. They are definitely more expensive than a basic pack of brushes but my gum health has honestly improved since I made the switch. Just check the packaging when they arrive to make sure you got the genuine ones and you will be happy with the purchase. I am definitely sticking with these from now on.

In every sense, this is worth the money. It's been nearly 2 years since I got this brush, brushing in the morning and at night every day, and the ONLY thing that's degraded is, some bristles in the center become matted, but otherwise work fine. It feels nice, it looks nice, and it works and lasts so much more than buying those disposable multi-pack toothbrushes.

I had been using Brevi for a couple of years when I saw a review for this one, and so glad I switched. It is cleaner, still soft but firm enough to scrub, really a perfect toothbrush.

for the sensitive tooth but very short life

Absolutely brilliant toothbrush cleans really well and soft for the gums, an excellent choice if you have had dental work and need to care for your crowns.

Acquistato su indicazione del dentista. Si tratta di uno spazzolino molto delicato, con setole ultra soft. Per questa estrema morbidezza il dentista me l'ha consigliato per "pettinare" le gengive, dal basso verso il colletto del dente, e cercare in questo modo di limitare/ridurre la tendenza a ritirarsi delle gengive. Nel mio particolare caso mi è stato detto di utilizzarlo solo per periodi limitati e per alcune zone circoscritte a rischio. Secondo lui un utilizzo protratto nel tempo potrebbe causare l'accumulo di placca. Tuttavia, dalla descrizione del prodotto si evince che può essere tranquillamente utilizzato per la pulizia quotidiana, perché la sua struttura densa e compatta, formata da ben 5460 filamenti (e non setole, come specificato dall'azienda!) di 0.1 millimetri di diametro, consente di raggiungere qualsiasi angolo della bocca e pulirlo in maniera estremamente delicata. Questi filamenti dovrebbero assorbire l'acqua molto più lentamente rispetto alle setole di nylon. In questo modo conserverebbero meglio la loro struttura originaria anche da bagnati e a lungo nel tempo, garantendo una pulizia delicata ma efficace. Ho molto apprezzato il cappuccio, che avendo una sorta di binario (come si può vedere nell'ultima foto) si incastra perfettamente e non viene via nemmeno se capovolgete lo spazzolino. Mi sento di consigliarlo sicuramente se avete delle gengive molto delicate o problematiche, ma vi suggerisco di chiedere consiglio al vostro dentista se avete intenzione di cambiare la vostra routine e optare per una pulizia quotidiana delicata che, secondo quanto riportato dall'azienda produttrice, è altrettanto valida, se non addirittura più efficace della pulizia con setole tradizionali.
