Must have for shucked WD Reds
Shucked (6) 10TB Easystores for my new Plex build and wanted to avoid the molex adapters so I decided to do the Kapton tape fix. I will say, it was a little difficult to cut just right as it's just a bit wider than what it needs to be. I basically cut a strip and placed it on a scrap piece of plastic and cut that strip in half vertically. Then I cut it down to size crossways and placed it on the appropriate pin. Ensured tape was secure and tested it on my HDD dock first. Once I saw it was working, I loaded it into the new Plex PC and did that with remainder of drives. No issues at all.If you shuck those Easystore drivers, this a must have. Highly recommend.

Great adhesive
Extremely thin, but this is as described. Excellent for electronics work but the adhesive is probably too strong to coat the plate for 3d printing

Having a roll of it under the 3d printer is nice so I can always have a fresh build surface
This tape is very thin, but I still get about 4-5 prints before I have to replace it. Having a roll of it under the 3d printer is nice so I can always have a fresh build surface, and if it gets damaged it's easy to peel off and replace. My ABS prints went from randomly coming loose to sticking very well now but still releasing. I use this tape, then scuff it all up with a scotchbrite pad, then clean with acetone and let it dry. Finally, a light coating of aqua-net to help the first layer adhesion, and I haven't lost a print due to adhesion problems since I started using that method.
