I love how these fold flat; the file is the most effective out of any of the ones I've tried; and the long lever "feels" better to use than other small nail clippers I have. I originally bought it just for travel but now it's my preferred one for day to day use idk I feel silly even taking time to positively review nail clippers but I had to go through a bunch before I found this one and really like it okay bye

I bought this because I travel a lot and wanted something slim enough to disappear into a first‑aid kit without TSA getting excited. Mission accomplished, this thing is basically the ninja of grooming tools. The Good Stuff • Ridiculously slim: It’s so thin it could moonlight as a bookmark. • Feels really well‑made: Solid stainless steel, no rattles, no “I’m going to bend” feeling. • Sharp: It slices through fingernails like butter. • Toe nails: Doable… depending on your personal toe‑nail situation. If you have model‑foot nails, you’re fine. If your toes look like they’ve been through a war, it’ll still work, you’ll just need patience and emotional resilience. The Slightly Annoying Bit • The opening mechanism: Clever, but there’s always one little metal limb sticking out like it’s waving at you. Not a deal‑breaker, just mildly chaotic. Final Thoughts For something this thin, it punches way above its weight. Great for travel, great for everyday carry, and great if you enjoy tools that look like they were designed by someone who loves origami. 4 out of 5 loses one star for the awkward metal flap, but otherwise a tiny powerhouse.

Years ago, I found a set of nail clippers in a store in France that was completely different than the traditional nail clippers that I had used all my life. They were beautifully constructed and seemed to be of very high-quality materials with a great finish and sharpness and made clean and smooth cuts. These clippers are the same exact design as those French ones that I have had for a few years. I like the design, because not only is the whole thing very compact, but also in its closed position the sharp edges of the cutters are fully closed, and no sharp edges are exposed. This makes it possible to have these in your small pant pocket or on a keychain without the risk of getting cut when you reach for them. Another important design factor (for me at least) is that unlike other wide-jaw nail clippers there is no spring in the jaw to open the two sides. The springs in clippers that have them invariably suffer metal fatigue over time and eventually snap. These are also a whole lot less expensive than the French ones that I own but only with a seemingly marginal lower quality. The fit and finish on the French ones is definitely better, but these are of perfectly acceptable quality. I think that you will like these clippers.
