Anaconda 3 - Offspring [DVD]

this is a great film.

A very good buy & a good seller

No Anaconda 3 has nothing to do with the AUFUL boa vs. python film as someone else wrongly said before. Anaconda 3 is a decent snakes film not as good as the first film BUT still enjoyable full of action suspense and a lot of BLOOD. The snakes were frightening considering this was a direct to dvd release and u can match this movie with the first Python movie and with Boa aka new alcatraz and with the most recent flick snakes on a plane. If u are a snakes horror fan get this movie. U will not be disappointed.

If you liked the "LAKE PLACID" Series, and the previous ANACONDAS....surprise, surprise - You should like this. I wasn't expecting much if I am honest, but this is not a bad film. Given the budget, location (Croatia) and the stars you might be doubtful, but The Hoff is very convincing and doesn't overdo the macho "I was in Special Forces - of course you were" that Johnny Messmer and many others definitley do. Crystal Allen stands out as a feisty scientist who helped create the giant snakes - and they too aren't too bad. Cleverly not shown in too much detail or too often they provide shocks, plenty of "Kensington gore" (some very good, I thought, nasty bits of heads removed rather violently etc.) The cast apart from the 2 above and John Rhys Davies are unknown or Croatian, but all do their bits well. Director Fauntleroy(!) never lets the pace slow down, and honestly, if you want an unpretentious sci fi thriller that just gives what it promises - this is it. Please note...this is not an epic in the Arnie/Sly mold, but just good cheap violent entertainment of the Snake kind.

One of the worst films I’ve seen, should of stopped after the second film

When i saw this i thought it would be class.I got it and i was sad.Wasted two hours of my life.Wish i had not of seen this.

This made for Tv film released at the end of 2008 has very little to do with the first two movies –other than the basic subject matter. Time has passed and the blood Orchid has been used to genetically modify the anaconda with a side effect of making it larder and more lethal. Dr. Amanda Hayes [Crystal Allen] is the scientist responsible and suddenly develops a conscience and vents her anger on Murdoch [John Rhys-Davies] the visiting billionaire who needs the serum to keep him alive. Things naturally go wrong so they call in bad boy Markos Hammett [David Hasselhoff] to sort the problem.What follows is standard low budget TV fare. It all starts off looking rather bad, poor acting, a jungle? location that looks like it’s filmed in a country park, and a script that needed a lot more work. However, if you liked the other two movies, you soon begin to accept it all and things do seem to improve as the film progresses. It's not scary, relying on gore to impress and shock, it’s an average, unambitious movie that will probably appeal to real b-movie enthusiasts [like myself]. Billionairs are egotistical and maniacal, Scientists are stupid, company heads are always ‘yes’ men and the ‘Hoff’ is always the Hoff. Ahh, it’s all so simple. But the actors and crew all seem aware of these limitations and do a good job at hamming it up and dealing with what they’ve got and the special effects are on a par with the movies.The disc loads to main menu offering audio [English, Czech, Hungarian and Polish], subtitles [7 languages including Arabic], scene selection and trailers [6 films and advert for blu-ray]. If you like the ‘Hoff’ you’ll know his style, and here he is on form so you may well like this, likewise if you love ‘B’ movie style horrors or low budget films, then thisWill please as it is entertaining, even if it is predictable. Deserving a *** but no more. This is the same version as found in the Anacondas 1-4 box set.

I quite liked the first Anaconda film and even the sequel whilst being vastly inferior had a 'couple of moments', this third instalment though doesn't even come into 'It's so bad it's funny' bracket.It basically contains woefully bad acting by a bunch of nobodys (yes I include Rhys-Davies in that statement, other than the LOTR trilogy and possibly Sliders he has always maintained a bad habit of picking duds). They might as well have had a bunch of wooden cutouts instead. That might have injected a small amount of humour into proceedings, and the type of special effects that really just leave a bad taste in my mouth.I love trashy movies but the SyFy (as it's now called) channel is churning this dross out by the bucket load and enough is enough.You could insert Croc, Spider, Alligator, Bear, Lizard, Leech and loads of others in it's place and you've already seen it a hundred times. I'm 'lucky' I only had to endure it on TV.Please don't buy ESPECIALLY at this price. I would be surprised if the film cost this much to actually make.

J'ai apprécié ce dvd. Il parle d'une expérience scientifique sur des anacondas pour obtenir un sérum qui améliorela santé. Mais les serpents géants s'échappent et deviennent dangereux. Une équipe de mercenaires est envoyéepour neutraliser les serpents.

Pas un beau film , hélas!!!! mais je l'ai regardé quand même. Un David Hasselhoff, je crois que son nom s'écrit ainsi, pas certaine!!!! Qui n'a rien d'un grand acteur. Mais, je savais que ce film serait sans prétention alors je ne critiquerais pas davantage. Puis parfois regarder de petits films ni hyper mauvais ni bon laissent entrevoir que dans le cinéma il y a aussi de touts petits film qui offre une heure trente de petit bonheur sans prise de tête.
