Will the GK-3B work with passive bass? Will it work without a Synth pedal straight into my EBS C/Amp?

I have 3 Basses with GK3b fitted, some are active some passive, makes no difference to the GK3b as still works the same.As far as i can tell, you can't feed the GK3b striaght into an amp. the GK3b is only a pickup that outputs a signal down a 15wire GK rolland cable into a rolland syth unit (GR55 for example).There is no 1/4" jack output from the GK3b unit, only a 15pin specialized cable as i've said above.Note : these GK3b units are quite flimsy. I've had 2 faulty units so far. They do not like being moved once fitted to your guitar. the wires insite the pickup stretch and break quite easily.That said, once fitted if you dont filddle with them they work great.I get good quality sounds out of my GR55 floor unit.GK3b is very expensive though - Rolland have the market, and they rip you off at over £100.and £34 for a GK lead.But that is what we have to live with!
