A well made product that works as advertised
I thought I had already reviewed this product, but apparently not. Here goes:My son has a problem with occasional sciatica in his leg, and after a lot of research, decided to purchase this product to see if it really produced the results claimed in the promotional materials. He bought it from Amazon, and it arrived promptly in a few days. I have reoccurring lower back pain, as well as a stiff neck from arthritis, and was willing to give this device a try also. He has been using the Teeter daily for a week now, and does feel better after each session. He has gained flexibility and feels that he walks more upright, and his sciatica pain has receded. I have tried the device a few times, but not enough to report progress, but I do feel flexible and relaxed after each session. The Hang Ups is not difficult to assemble, but not that easy either. The box has to be unpacked, the parts then spread out over an open space, and the parts then identified from the instruction sheet. The included DVD wouldn't play in our MacBook Pro...it kept ejecting. The assembly instructions are accurate, but do require close attention and some trial and error. It's better to have two people, one for holding the parts and the other for using the tools. You might want to use your own tools, those included are dinky. The wrenches are thin and hard to hold in place, and the screwdriver is too short to get the required torque. You should allow an hour for assembly, even with two people. In terms of using the device, I would highly recommend that you have a family member or friend available while you become familiar using the Hang Ups. First you have to set your balance point. If you have a normal build like my son, the pin will be inserted an inch or so longer than your height. But if you are older, with a more mature, pear shaped build (like me), you will be top heavy, and will have to set the pin many inches greater than your height. If not, you will "Teeter" immediately, and find yourself upside down. You may want to have your spotter help you back to the upright position. Be sure to connect the strap that restrains movement from horizontal...you may wish to start with 30 degrees and then increase. You feel secure using the Teeter Hang Ups.... it's well designed and constructed, and sits solidly on the floor without wobbling. An excellent product, not a piece of junk you are likely to hide away.Update: I've used the device a few times now, and have a comment. If you are not very flexible and can't touch your toes (like me), you may find it difficult to reach down and release the foot clamp. It requires using both hands at the same time...one to pull the pin and the other to open the clamp. Make sure you have a buddy around the first few times to see that you can do the foot release by yourself.

A game changer for management of back pain related to the spine.
I bought the Teeter Inversion Table at the suggestion of a chiropractor to help with routine, at-home, decompression of a few vertebrae in my lower spine. I started slowly, setting the inversion strap to about 15 degrees beyond horizontal. After a week of a few 3-minute sessions per day, as my body adjusted to being inverted (and I felt more coordinated using it, balancing, etc.), I gradually increased the angle of inversion over a period of a few weeks to where I was comfortable being fully inverted. Although I felt some relief following the first few uses of the Teeter, it was when I was able to invert approximately 50 - 60 degrees past horizontal that I truly started feeling major relief. It's been about 4 months since beginning, and I continue to invert several times a day -- religiously! It only takes about 3 minutes per session, and the pain I was experiencing continues to be in check. The Teeter has now become a part of my life!My only regret is that I didn't buy the EP-960 Limited model initially. The extra $150 for that model seemed like a lot of money at the time I purchased a table, and I wasn't sure how effective a Teeter Inversion Table would work for my situation. Fortunately, it's become a true pain management tool for my back, so I've gradually upgraded the EP-560 by adding the EZ-Stretch Traction handles, and replacing the "t" bar ankle release with the Deluxe EZ-Reach Ankle system. These upgrades make my sessions more convenient and quicker: 1) quicker and more comfortable getting in-and-out of the table with the Deluxe EZ-Reach ankle system, and 2) the EZ-Stretch Traction handles allow me to more quickly achieve the decompression (pop, pop, pop) of the compressed vertebrae. So, while I am very pleased (grateful, actually!) with the quality and effectiveness of the system I have, had I bought the EP-960 model initially, it would have included both these features that I've added (plus a few more) and cost me about $100 less at the end of the day compared to the costs of upgrading separately.Regardless, the Teeter Inversion Table has become a game changer for managing my back pain. Teeter Hangups are very thoughtfully designed (including the ability to purchase upgrade features to base models if and when you choose), Teeter sets the standard for solid build and safety for residential inversion tables, and are mostly a once in a lifetime investment. I can highly recommend the effectiveness of a Teeter Inversion Table, regardless of the model you choose!
