This is a well built mace with just enough texturing on the handle to provide a good grip without tearing up your hands. I like that it has texturing in 2 places so I can choke up on the handle for warming up with it. I purchased the 20 lbs version since I have experience using other maces and heavy clubbells, this weight is definitely not for the beginner. I would recommend you check your ego and buy a lighter version if you are starting out, I know that 20 lbs does not sound like a lot but the physics of the handle and weight distribution makes it plenty burly for a serious workout. It is easy to injure your shoulders with the forces generated from swinging these maces around so please start light to build strength first.I have done a few rounds of sledge hammer style slams on a tire with his mace and find I do not like the reactive forces generated, it just seems limp compared to my Monster sledge hammer from strongergrip but that may just be my preference. The mace is plenty sturdy enough to withstand the sledge hammer style slams though and I expect this thing to outlast me in this world.

So I purchased a 7 pound one with the intention of using it for not it’s intended purpose. One of the activities at the facility I run is a room where people can be destructive and break and destroy any number of things. I’m always looking for variety and this includes the items people can use to cause this destruction.This thing has taken a beating… daily… for nearly a year now, and it has no sign of letting up. To give you some perspective, I have to replace baseball bats and sledge hammers every couple of weeks, sometimes more frequently.So if you have any question of whether this is well constructed and durable let me put your doubts aside, because it’s a beast

If you workout and use kettlebells and barbells and such. I do too and find them amazing. I was looking for a new tool to bring my workouts to the next level and this was it. First off with the Club Swing exercise has helped my shoulder pain by alot. By rotating the shoulder and strengthening muscles that you rarely use it helps in alot of areas that give people painAnother benefits of using those muscles that you rarely use is that it make you stronger in the regular movement such as Bench Press since all your stabilizers and other muscles know how to fire and are now strong as well.This is also super fun to use which makes me work out longer and more often which is always good. i will just pick it up randomly through the day and do some exercises.

Bought this to start training at home and at the gym. Delivery speed was fantastic, and the packaging was great for shipping. Amazon packaged around the companies packaging so it was sturdy, and didn't clunk if I placed it on the floor.The grips on the mace itself are well placed, and not serrated enough that they cut up your hands when you're doing lots of switching movements, but strong enough that you can do 360 swings without losing your grip...which would really suck haha.The weight is balanced well, was afraid this would be a cheap version to the Onnit but it's not. It's balanced well and sturdy.The only issue is the paint used on the mace which honestly I fully anticipated. It rubs off pretty easily when you set it down or if you accidentally lightly tap something. No big deal, I'm not using it to look cool.Overall I am pleased with the product I paid for, the speed of delivery, the quality, and the craftsmanship. I would buy their products again (and I do plan on buying the 3lb Indian Clubs).

Not really into writing reviews for products but this has been absolutely integral for my fitness in the midst of a hectic schedule. Balancing work and school I don’t really do much outside of my pull-up bar, body weight squats, and some kickboxing in between (I was squatting 315 for reps and could deadlift the same just prior to my purchase of the mace).Bought the 20lber to start and was humbled by how heavy it was, but I got used to it inside a week. Had looked up some articles on mace training and it interested me, saw this one and figured I’d pull the plug on the garage fit mace. I’ve got a lot of aggression and I’ve since used this thing to not only do 360’s, offset versions of conventional lifts, but also beat the absolute piss out of a dead oak in my backyard. This mace has taken it all without any noticeable defects other than scuffed paint. Very pleased with how big my shoulders and forearms have gotten since using this.

Wanted a steel mace for my home gym, and this was the only one I could find in stock. The price was right and I was pleasant surprised. Feels well-made and extremely durable, has a nice powder-coat finish with consistent knurled grips. This is one of two Garage Fit products I own now, and the brand is exactly what it says: good products for a garage gym.Fair warning if you're new to steel mace, put your ego aside and start no higher than the 10 pounder. I'm 6'3" and reasonably strong but I still have a long way to go just to adapt to this. I bought this to try to improve my upper back and shoulder health since I work at a desk, and I'm finding that it really does help.

I have a sledge hammer. I use that for things that need a sledge hammer. Weirdly, I don't want to break my sledge hammer because I may need it for real. This steel mace is great for working out. Great for building up and maintaining swinging skills. The length is about 40 inches, the diameter of the ball is about 11 inches. The head of the ball is flat so storage is a cinch. Put it in a corner and forget it.
