I had another laser toy but Booboo felt the need to touch it and kept knocking it over and finally broke it. I now have 5 sad cats. However, I found this one that clamps down and she can’t knock it over and it seems to be a success. Plus, it’s rechargeable which is fabulous and it comes on, on its own and is totally random so they don’t know where it’s going next! 5 stars!

My cats gave their usual response to a new mechanical toy. Cat #1 instantly loved it and now comes on the run whenever he hears the motor. Cat #2 could care less. And, cat #3 has decided it is pure evil and must be avoided at all costs. I already have another laser toy that moves the light in a circle, and they'd all grown bored with it, so I'm hoping this randomized laser will make the game interesting for them again. (The other 2 will join in once they realize cat #1 is enjoying it.)As for my reaction, I'm happy if they're happy, and I love how random the light movement is. But if I could, I'd change a few things about the design. First, it's bulky and the dual motors are fairly loud.Second, my other laser toy can be plugged in and set to run indefinitely, which is really convenient, but Potaroma's laser won't come on if it's plugged in, so you have to constantly remember to recharge it.Third, it only runs for 10 hours (10 minutes per hour) then you have to manually restart the cycle. So it's really not a set-it-and-forget-it type design like I'd hoped.Fourth, the laser can be positioned higher or lower, but can't be rotated side to side. This is a problem for me because the only place I have to mount it doesn't face the play area straight on, so I've had to jerry-rig it in place to aim it at the right angle.

Kittens love the laser toy so much & overworked it..emergency email to customer service and within hours, another one, was being mailed to me. Couldn’t be happier with the service. Thank You Vicky for your speedy and fabulous fulfillment to my kittens need…absolutely recommend

I feel like there's great potential and this product could be great but it goes so fast that my cats get over it just as fast. They are 8 &9 months so trust me they have energy. But as soon as I turned it on I was like woah! I was hoping there was a speed button but there isn't. Such a shame. Besides that it would have been great. I should probably return but it keeps their eyes busy for a time atleast. Advice for the maker, put a speed button on it or slow it down. Then it'll be perfect!

What motion sensor??? Regardless, it turns on every hour for ten minutes. Out of four cats in my house at least one is playing with it every hour. Love it!

The media could not be loaded.  The younger cat (18 mos) will come over periodically, but more so to see what his big sister is doing. Motor runs too fast and he will get bored after 30 seconds. My older cat (26 mos) really enjoys the toy, but it is way too fast so she gives up, or will just lay there watching it with her eyes. The motors are a little loud in that they distract the cat and she will stare at the toy instead the laser. I really like the fact you can use the toy on auto or manual. I also like that the toy runs at intermittent intervals of 10 minutes on the hour. I will hear the motor turn on and peak into the room to see my older cat in there, so the toy is doing what it is supposed to. I would give it 5 stars if the mfg would add a speed control or just slow it down a bit.
