Cured my monitor dropouts.
I was having problems with my monitors dropping out and saying no signal, this is on two monitors connected to the same computer via the DP ports to HDMI inputs on the monitors. The dropouts started when I changed to 1440p wide monitors. I researched the problem online and the most often suggested fix was to get quality cables. I bought these cables and haven't had a single dropout since. I will admit that the cables I was using were a decade old and probably cheap so the dropouts may have been my own fault. But I'm happy now.

I use this to connect my HP laptop to my portable monitor, because my laptop is too old to do visual data exchange via usb-c… sooo I have the usb-c to usb-c for the audio and this cord for the video! It works great for this!

Wanted to hook up a second monitor to my pc and used this and It fit the monitor port and my display port but nothing happened. Didn’t turn on or anything and then as soon as I unplugged it for the 2 MINUTES I left it in it was already hot to the touch…should have read the reviews before I purchased. I usually do but I didn’t this time for some reason and well yeah that’s on me I guess. Save your money don’t get this. Also it wasn’t a monitor problem because I hooked it up to my laptop using a usbc cable and it worked.

Very useful for Dell laptops
My Dell laptop is still very functional but has the proprietary display port connector. This adapter works very well to allow me to connect to my 2nd monitor with HDMI input.

Considering this is a speciality cable I’m very happy with the price, comparable products are almost double anywhere else. It works perfectly on my secondary monitor that only has a mini HDMI port. My only criticism is I’m not a huge fan of the 4K UHD branding since it’s visible on the mini HDMI side with my setup but it’s a small gripe.
