Finally found it
I've been looking for a good quality, good looking, and reasonably priced shoe storage bench for a long while now. I finally purchased two of these and I love them. They are rock solid and I can plop my 200 lbs frame down on them with no flexing, groaning, or wobbling. They are a little tall (which is great when my father comes over, he has some difficulty getting up from low seats), so I left the legs off of one of them so my wife can sit comfortably. Thanks to the nice molding it looks perfectly natural without the legs. I kept the baskets in the tall one but removed them from the short one to make room for more shoes. We also ditched the cushions. Seems like they'd just be a pain sliding around and they aren't that decorative. Oh, I guess I should add that the benches themselves really are as attractive in person as the appear in the images.Bonus: Thanks to the baskets, I can now always find my keys and wallet!

Shoe and golf accessories
Received this product in no time at all, one package includes everything. The puzzle came together little by little but when finally done it is really a great functional piece of furniture. We placed it in our entryway and it accommodates our foot ware and golf accessories. The top cushion is not the greatest thing around but it does its job. It is well constructed, solid when everything is joined together and looks great. It is very functional. I never put one of these projects together in one sitting, if I get frustrated I simply walk away for a while, read the directions again then apply what I have learned. All the parts were there and the ones that need to be are quality in nature. I would not hesitate recommending this bench to anyone. Have fun, learn something new and enjoy your purchase.

It is sturdy, solid wood
The box was damaged when it delivered so I was worried about what I would find when I opened it up. I'm thrilled to say that everything was packed so well, three wasn't any damage to the pieces. Whew! Clearly this is a company who cares about quality and ensuring the customer satisfaction! The product is much higher quality than I expected. It is sturdy, solid wood, which means it is very heavy. The spaces for shoes are smaller than I'd hoped. High heels or men's shoes may be a tight fit; however, my husband and I aren't the ones who have an issue putting our shoes away so we should be okay. The little stickers provided to cover the cam locks do not match nor do they stick well. It really diminishes the otherwise excellent quality and look. Take a look at the back: those aren't little nails holding on the back panel, but screws. If you've put together enough inexpensive furniture then you understand the significance. This product is completely worth what I paid. (By the way, the spots on the back are oil I used to clean adhesive left by the stickers used to identify the pieces. It isn't a defect of the shoe case.)

It's ok
This bench is just ok. It is redder than I thought it would be. Based on the picture (and the color name -- "expresso"), I thought it was not be as red as it is. I would say it is more of a cherry color than expresso. Even though it is redder than I'd like, it still looks fine in our entryway. It feels sturdy when I sit on it (I'm about 130 lbs.). I would not feel comfortable if someone much over 200 lbs. sat on it.This thing is very difficult to assemble. First, the instructions are awful. They do not tell you which way to face the boards when assembling them, so you sort of have to figure it out (make sure the finished sides are all facing the same way). Also, after you assemble the shoe slots, you need to put the bottom on. That is a chore! It is very difficult to get the slots to fit in the right way. You definitely need two people to assemble it.The baskets look nice, but I think they need some felt on the bottom or else the shelves will get scratched.Overall, I don't regret this purchase, but I don't love it. It will be a handy spot for guests to put their shoes.

Loved this bench once put together
Loved this bench once put together. The instructions are very poor and could be more detailed. Even though you can also go online and watch a video, that video runs too quickly through the process and is also not very detailed. I'm pretty handy and put it together with no help but It did take about an hour and a half after unpacking it and laying everything out. It also has a strong chemical odor which lingers for quite a while. Luckily I had it in a room that I could close off and air out. The odor did seem to get weaker each day. The baskets also have to be put together and one was cracked on the inside corners but still serviceable.

I really wanted to like this bench
I really wanted to like this bench. I have been eagerly anticipating its arrival and was excited to open it and begin the assembly process. But boy, was I naive! This product is very poorly designed and the parts do not line up, no matter how creative one gets. It is mostly kept together by extremely flimsy wooden dowels which would not be effective anyway, but what made the experience even more frustrating was the fact that the components would not line up, making it impossible to construct the item! After having it fall on the floor and on me numerous times while I was trying to secure the end pices together, I finally decided I'd had enough. I got hurt trying to put this flimsy piece of garbage together, and the cheaply made particle board pieces fell apart and splintered after they fell once. I am preparing. Nursery and have assembled four different furniture pieces in the last two weeks. I'm pretty good at construction so please don't think this is an operator issue. This product is very poorly designed and even if it had gone together properly, I would have HUGE misgivings about a person's safety in actually sitting on it. I could never recommend such a horrible product.
