UntappedOrganic Maple Coffee Waffle - Individually Wrapped - Box of 16USDA Organic

I stumbled across UnTapped waffles while looking to replace Honey Stinger waffles (which I had thrown up one too many times)—I've relied on them ever since (about three years). The consistency is slightly less crumbly than other waffle brands, and the flavors are much more vibrant and less sugary. The coffee version tastes bold and deep, almost like a shot of espresso, and the raspberry is fresh (for lack of a better word). The chai tastes a bit like gingerbread, and all three have a maple syrup undertone (just a hint). None of the flavors have that weird artificial aftertaste that so many endurance fuels do. In addition, the waffles hold up well in the pack and are easy to stuff/stack in pockets for long efforts. If they make several trips they do break apart, but the pieces break up fairly conveniently and are still easy enough to hold and eat whilst moving. This is perhaps one of the only fuel sources I'm able to eat consistently after 24+ hours—the doesn't make me sick and goes down okay when I'm feeling a bit queasy. I've had hundreds of these waffles—on the PCT, on Mt. Hood, on the Kokopelli . . . —and I've yet to tire of them. It's a bit strange and hard to account for, but I'm thankful for such a reliable standby.
