Parthenocissus are vigorous deciduous climbers with either tendrils or disk-like suckers, and lobed or palmate leaves which often colour brilliantly in autumn. Inconspicuous green flowers are sometimes followed by attractive blue or black berries Planting Your Boston Ivy Seeds 1. Starting Your Seeds Start your Boston ivy seeds with two consecutive processes: Stratification. Seeds are stored for 30 to 60 days in the refrigerator. Mix the seeds in a handful of moist sand, place them in a resealable plastic bag and pop them into your refrigerator vegetable drawer-check them once every couple of weeks to make sure the sand is still moist. This mimics the winter cycle of the seeds. Scarification. Seeds are soaked in lukewarm water for 24 hours in a small plastic bowl. This encourages the seeds to start germination-it's just like warm spring rain. 2. Sowing Your Boston Ivy Seeds The most successful way to germinate your seeds is to sow them into a seed tray, although an outdoor cold frame is also suitable. Almost fill each section of the tray with good quality potting soil and plant a seed in each sector. Push the seeds into the growing medium with the tip of your finger, but don't cover them. Water the seeds carefully, and keep the soil moist until the seedlings appear. 3. Planting Your Seedlings Plant your seedlings about 12 inches from the wall they are going to climb, and around two to three feet apart. A week before you plant, prepare the soil by working it over to a depth of at least 12 inches with compost. Once your seedlings are in the ground, give them a good watering. Continue with deep watering once a week for the first growing season, and after that only water if the weather is very dry. Nothing!
Do NOT buy! I potted these seeds in miracle grow compost, and watered them regularly, they were in my greenhouse, with other seedlings. My other seeds, bought from a garden centre, grew beautifully, and are now beautiful abundant flowers, I got nothing from these. They aren't seeds, probably just grains of some description. A total con! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Dead seeds
Followed online tips for best results (60 days in fridge then expose to light, etc) but didn't get a single one to germinate. I didn't think they would all take, but 100% failure rate? Can't even return them. AVOID!
