The flooring color is perfect! I have never put in a floor so I had to learn a few things... Definitely need to buy a floor cutter unless you are just doing a square room. While gently pounding pieces together to avoid gaps and create the smooth look, the edges would crack very easy! Yes, I used a soft rubber mallet. Some of the pieces come out of the box with the edges damaged already. Over all I like the floor but I put rugs down and used large boarder strips to hide the imperfections.

Other reviewers are right that the edges are a bit fragile, but I was pleasantly surprised that most of my order arrived intact with only a couple of broken pieces. The planks aren’t the easiest to snap together—I did need a tapping block and rubber mallet a few times to get a tight fit. I used a utility knife for some cuts, but a saw was faster (even though it was messy). I got my flooring on sale on Prime Day and couldn’t be happier with the result for the price I paid.

This stuff goes together nicely, they packaged it quite well this go round so I didn't get many damaged boxes.

Product came broken

I cannot believe how much better my house looks after installing this new vinyl flooring. I purchased a whole pallet and everything arrived on time, with all the product being in excellent condition. My installer was able to install all the flooring in just two days, which covered 1400 sq. ft. of ground. I definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to upgrade their house. It's a fantastic investment.
