Nice sturdy tongs
I like these tongs, as they have proven to be very useful in picking up things in places I can't reach or holding things I don't want to pick up by hand. They are study tongs and are nice long tongs with a good grip. The handles are large so there is no problem with handling and using them. With my snakes, I primarily use them as feeding tongs. I would not try to grab a snake with the tongs because of the teeth at the end and along the edges of the tongs.

Never going back
Much better than the average metal feeding tongs. I have 2 ball pythons, one of which eats 210-230g rats and with my old tongs I had a hard time gripping them and would often slip or bend the tongs. These tongs have none of those issues, they are sturdy enough to easily handle rodents much heavier. They don't bend and are easy to use and clean. The teeth at the end prevent the rat from slipping. They're also much longer which is a big plus if you have a snake with terrible aim or a taste for fingers. I also personally love the handles, it offers much better grip and control for me. It makes them look like giant scissors. But, it makes them function so much better than my old ones so they get a pass.

Perfect for safe and easy snake feeding
These tongs have been great for feeding my banana spinner ball python. At 15 inches, they keep my hands far enough back to avoid any close calls when he strikes, which gives me peace of mind during feeding time. The grip on the mouse is solid, so I don’t have to worry about dropping it mid-feed like I did with some other tongs. Plus, I no longer have to borrow my kitchen tongs — which is a huge win for everyone involved! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a safe, reliable, and dedicated tool for feeding your reptile.

didn't use for feeding a snake
These snake feeding tongs are a weirdly perfect tool for pulling hair out of shower drains, way better than flimsy plastic tools and way less gross than hands. Great little trick to have around for quick drain cleaning!

Perfect length length, easy to handle
Easy using bamboo tweezer tongs when i first got my snake and it was a steep learning curve on feeding because the grip strength required to keep them tight enough to hold a mouse is too much. These were perfect, easy to control the mouse and easier to keep grip on it they strike. Appear accurate to the photos, and quote large so will fit a variety of hands.

Dangerous
I bought these as feeding tongs and was immediately concerned by how they’re made. The metal edges are sharp enough that I was able to cut my finger with very light contact. This wasn’t during normal use—I tested the edge intentionally to check for safety, and it broke skin easily. The tongs are also very stiff, which makes controlled feeding more difficult. Because of that combination (sharp edges + lack of flexibility), I would not consider these safe for feeding animals, especially those that strike quickly or unpredictably. But I would recommend inspecting the edges carefully before using these with any animal. My experience was very different from what I expected based on other reviews. Shipping was also inconsistent—my order (March 21) arrived April 28 with little to no tracking updates for part of that time.
