NO MoRe!
My whole dern life, and it's been a minute, I've been doing all kinds of hocus pocus designs to avoid using flare fittings. I've been swapping stuff out - flare to compression, pex, shark bite, sweating copper, (...) the list goes on. I don't even want to think about how much time has been lost to digging in endless buckets to to find a fitting to fit on that fitting and if I get those together - will this connect to that? Then running to the big ugly orange store to purchase the final piece of the puzzle. Then, 'bout half the time, I end up going back returning or exchanging because my ixslexdia got the best of me. NO MoRe! Flaring tube is simple with this kit.The complete instructions are glued to the inside cover of the case. After you've read those and put a flare on 1 piece of copper tubing I can't imagine it will ever take you more than One minute to flare a tube encompassed in the size range of this kit. Really, it is super simple and quick. I can't believe I've gone this long without a flaring tool. Whether you buy this kit or another flaring tool, if your a craftsman, I definitely recommend having one in your kit – my bag of tricks has been missing it for way too long. This Imperial / Matco kit, whichever this is (mine says Matco all over it and looks like the kit Matco lists on their website for 215 bucks) appears to be exceptional. Everything is well machined, the tube cutter feels good in hand and cuts quick, the clamp is either chromed or chemical polish, and everything fits nice and snug in the case. They're asking 100 bucks for this kit at the time of this writing, and I say, gOod DeAl, it's well worth it. If you can afford it I recommend, if you can't - get something else till you can. From experience, I just can't recommend kicking yerself cause you went to long without a flaring tool.I write bad reviews for bad tools, and good reviews for the tools I like.5 Stars for The Imperial Tools Flaring KitThanks for Reading - Have an Incredible Life!

Matco brand surplus
I contacted Matco about this set. It appears fraudulent as the Matco name is etched on the pieces, not embossed or cast like on the Matco site. I was informed this set was discontinued in June 2023 and the company sold off the remaining tools in inventory. So that is why it says Imperial instead of Matco on the case. Matco did say even though they are discontinued, they will still honor the warranty. So that brings into question who do you go to for the warranty? Imperial says a 30 day return and Matco didn’t specify to me how long their warranty is.The set functions like it should. It is Matco brand and not a knock off poor quality copy. So you shouldn’t have any problems with them. If you do, you can contact Matco directly.I give it 5 stars even though it was a conflict of brand names on the case. It is a Matco item so it is quality.

Very well made not sure about the marking of a popular brand tho
Since the markings are on this item I'm going to bring it up. Yes Adam has the same barcode and product number as matco and it looks the same minus the cutter. It had a maiden Taiwan or China sticker on the inside of it. I know for a fact matco would not have that sticker on their product. That being said the flaring components seem comparable build quality as matco brand. The matco emblem is on the two larger components of this item.I did try it out on some really hard anodized brake line that was 3/8 outter diameter in the first try i successfully made a double flare on the line. This is a must for brake lines and other high pressure lines.Be carrying case is nice and all of the dies and other components fit very nicely and snug inside the molded case.Instruction book was included and easy to follow. It recommends putting a little oil on the threads and on the die part that sits inside of the line so it doesn't get stuck inside the line during the first part of the flaring process.I'm really really pleased with this kit and I feel like it will hold up for not only my lifetime but my kids as well.Maybe the manufacturer will shed light on the matco emblems on some of the items in this kit. Hopefully they are genuine matco if not I feel like this would go against Amazon's policies. Either way it's good solid kit matco or not!!I am a professional mechanic by trade! So you can take my review to the bank. I promise you if you're the junk I will tell you all about it being junk regardless of it being a free item. Mind you I have to pay a lot of taxes on it come tax time so really it's not free. Buy use it take care of it and pass it on to your kids. 💯👍AND ALWAYS KEEP THEM 🔧'S TURNING

Matco?
I too like other reviewers received a ste branded Matco Tools DFK93. looking at the Matco Tools website it appears that the images this seller utilized where from their set. As you can see the set I received, even laser etched with the Matco tools name and logo does not match the one in the picture. The actual Matco Tools product has the name and logo stamped into the set. Matco also has stamped on their flaring press "Made n the USA" This did not and the sticker inside the tubing cutter indicates it is made in Korea. With that said is it inferior to the Matco Tools set? I would not know as I do not own the Matco set. These are heavy pieces. The only fitment issue I found was the 1/4" slot. As you can see in the picture the jig is opened a bit more than when I thread in any other size. Not sure if this will oval out the threaded fitting when clamped in the jig or not. I will find 1/4" stock and try.
