Totally Amazing Stuff
Attention all Diabetics!!!!! This is the product for you. If you have any type of skin injuries, sores, etc this will heal it quick. I was skeptical at first, but like some of the reviews say, "the wound will show signs of healing in a day or so",.....and yes it did. My husband is a Type 2 diabetic and is on his feet all day in work boots and he developed and very bad "toe ulcer". It was very deep and I immediately put Bacitracin Zinc on it, but it did not do much. For 3 weeks, nothing helped. But, I found this online and read some reviews and decided to spend the money. Boy was I glad I did. I noticed the wound was healing and growing new skin in 2 days of use. It even surprised his Podiatrist, as they had not heard of this product and was amazed at the healing and regenerating properties it has. His toe was healed in 3 weeks and now it does not even show where the ulcer was. I also gave this to my 80 year old mother, who had a very bad gash in the top of her hand and within a week it was healed, where before, she was using Bacitracin and it did nothing. We are both amazed. This is great for any type of wound. I would recommend this over Bacitracin anytime. It may be costly, but a little goes a very long way. Only a tiny, tiny dab will do the trick.

14 grams for $24 is a rip off! STOPPED a leg ulcer from getting bigger..helped heal older ones.
EDIT: OK I HAD TO EDIT MY REVIEW because last time I paid $24 sure.. I got a small tube but THIS time... it's literally a sample size tube. 14 grams. I wasnt paying attention to the exact size because it was a re-order. That's how they get you I guess? This new size tube is the same size as a Carmex or vasiline chap stick tube. RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED. It's good but it's NOT THAT GOOD. Not so good it should be priced as high as gold. "GIVE ME A BREAK" is exactly I said when I opened the box and saw the little doll size tube in the bottom of all the packaging it came in... it was in a plastic baggie too not a box like I believe the last tube I bought did. Haha! What a JOKE! It would be funny if the joke wasnt on me and my poor wallet!First review:I highly recommend this for people with leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers and venous ulcers. It stopped one from starting over night and kept one I have had for years from getting worse and helped stop the infection I had *with antibiotics as well but this was a Huge help. I have tried everything. I do recommend to buy the strongest version they sell. That one seemed to work the best for me.

While using the product, I experienced a rather disturbing problem: the product in the area to which I had applied the ointment turned black. I was able to wash it off after some real effort, but I have been reluctant to use it again. I contacted the company and was informed that yes, when this stuff is exposed to heat, it sometimes turns dark or black because of some of the ingredients in it, but that it really wasn't a problem. Even with that reassurance, the jar is just sitting in my medicine cabinet unused. Considering the hefty price of this product, this is more than disappointing.

Good for somethings.
I am new to wound care. There is some trail and error involved when picking the right products for the job at hand. This was the situation with the self adhesive tape from Terrasil. I tried it out to see if it met the need I had at the time. It worked as a temporary fix till I found something more suitable for the wound I was dealing with. I used this on a wound to my toe. A toe can be difficult to bandage because of shape, and flexation. The bandage stayed in place and covered the wound. It has little, to no absorption ability. I needed a dressing, and this was not a dressing. I think the price was excessive considering the size of the piece, and that it is not in a sterile package. I'll put it in my first aid kit to use another time, maybe.

Helps with adult diaper rash/pressure sores
My 85 y.o. father had a severe stroke and is confined to bed/wheelchair. Since he cannot walk and wears adult diapers, he is extremely prone to skin breakdown. Diaper rash pimples often open up on his buttocks/private areas and sometimes become pressure sores. I have tried all sorts of creams and ointments, but I noticed improvement after the first day or two with the Terrasil. The rash between the inside of his thighs was a coalesced fiery red patch and is now pink and the skin texture is getting back to normal. I am impressed enough to order again - this time the larger size. We also have started cleaning the rash first with The Healing Formula, an all natural topical wound solution before we apply the Terrasil. I recommend applying the Terrasil with a q-tip since a little bit goes a long way and it is expensive. We also have had success with Manuka honey dressings (available in the drugstore) to protect and heal dime-sized open sores on the buttocks.

TOTAL RIP OFF
Do not buy. Terrasil ointments are great and this bandage stuff is great BUT Terrasil doesn’t manufacture it themselves. They give you a scant 18” of tape when for the same price you can buy ELEVEN YARDS of this tape from the manufacturer: MefixI gave added a star for the product itself and Terrasil but jeez what a scam on the part of Terrasil.
