My solution is use either Sno-Seal or Outback Duck Back Dressing on it. Both are used to waterproof canvas and cotton such as hats, jackets, pants, shoes/boots, gloves, and the like. Using them on this pouch will add much more resistance to water ingress, again not a complaint. Being as I am very familiar with oilskin and waxed canvass this pouch absorbing water is a bit disappointing, however an easy fast fix. Your question may be "will he return it" absolutely NOT! It is what I need for what I do, and with a bit of TLC it will be perfect. In fact, I will be purchasing another for use with my other projects I carry.
