I have purchased moss from them several times and each time they delivered some of the best and most beautiful mosses I have seen anywhere. Fresh, green, Unique mosses that I have never seen elsewhere, perfectly shaped and still smell of the forest. They grow beautifully and look like a million bucks. Originally I got these to cover the grounds of a fairy garden, and some I placed around the plants grown in the pots...but then they looked so good and grown so beautifully that I made these pots Just for the mosses. I used shallow plates or shallow ceramic bowls with half an inch to an inch of fluffy soil or hold the water. I spray mist over them daily, to keep them wet and moist during the day. The first few days after planting, i keep them outside in the warm sun...but afterward they remain inside and somewhere they get a bit of sun through the windows...not a lot...just a little would do. I even have the moss bowls on my dining room table as a center piece and they look phenomenal!! I get a lot of complements for those. You can place them around the candles for a dinner party or use as decorations. They could be made into those live frames....placed in the space among the rocks or fireplace rock-walls. So many design ideas from such little clever plants and Appalachian Farms are the place to go for the rare and unusual moss and lichens. The variety they have does not even compare with the other stores. They carry moss and lichens that no one has even heard of, let alone sell.
