Search for Treasure (2) (The Islanders)

Excellent book for middle schoolers. Probably 6th grade. I taught middle school for 20 years and had a grandson in middle school. I wanted to read for these reasons. I have read all of this author’s books. Please with the writing- character development and descriptions.

Purchased the first of the two in the series by Mary Alice Monroe (The Islanders) and found it was geared towards pre-teens (11-4 years old) and fell in love with it and couldn't put it done. Purchased the second one (Search for Treasure) and enjoyed it so much, I purchased them for gifts to my younger grandchildren. Very good reading and actually teaches about life. Very good.

This is a great book for children as well as for adults. I bought it for my grandson that is 9. I'm 73 and I enjoyed it just as much as he did. Lol

This a nice story of youth and adventures. It is about coming of age in an idyllic.n place . showing good times and friendships.

As with the first book, I could barely put this book down. I quickly became involved with the "Islanders" and their friendship and quest to find the treasure. The informative story line on the island nature makes you feel as if you are experiencing it first hand. Beautiful story of family and friendships. Thank you, neighbor

My son loves this book and it's predecessor! He is 9 and we read together at night. It's really well written and I really look forward to reading it nightly as well. Great book!

Just like "The Islanders", " Search for Treasure" is a story for all ages. I have read all of Mary Alice Monroe's books and enjoyed them as wellI hope the series continues
