Getting Started with SAPUI5 Hardcover – September 5, 2014

I will have to holeheartedly disagree with the other reviews which have given this book two or three stars : .... you can find everything online.Well true enough, but you will probably have to hunt down all the information spread through 4 or 5 web sites.So first. This is NOT a book intended for seasoned SAPUI5 developers, but rather a book intended for programmers who are complete newbies or intermediate programmers.The book assumes nothing. It starts by explaining the basics : HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery. That takes bout 20% of the book.Next it goes through the installation process and continues to explain VERY important concepts : MVC , the binding models, data typing and theming.It then continues explaining the basic UI controls and explains how to build a UI5 application from scratch.If you want to learn UI5 , you can't go wrong with this book . Mr Antolovic has done an excelent job putting a lot of material in a book in a clear and concise manner.

Not worth the money. You can find all the resources you need online which is more comprehensive than this book. Only worth it if are a complete newbie to HTML5, JavaScript and SAPUI5

Good Book for learning SAP UI5 (if you don't know HTML5,Javascripit and JQuery). Antolovic really did a great job covering from HTML5 basics to Java script,JQuery, easily transition to SAP UI5 and Gateway in very easily followed manner.I thoroughly enjoyed the book till 7(total 10 chapters) chapters.Unfortunately I lost my book ,someone stole my laptop bag at B&N book center and I lost this book as well .

Really there is not lot to learn Hana/sapui.Manual provided by sap.com is better.

Poorly written/edited.

A este libro le tenía ganas ya que es un PASO A PASO para comprender y BIEN SAPUI5.Lo sugeriría a profesionales de SAP.

The book is completely outdated - worst 70 EUR I ever spent. In addition, the seller Book Depository DE was not able to issue an invoice so I could not even get it reimbursed by my company.

Very good and delivered before promised date.

Many pages in the initial chapters are missing.I have not returned the book just because i knew those parts so i was able to manage ,but for a new learner it would be bad.So please take notice of this and atleast check for these basic things which is accepted norm whil buying such costly books.
