Davey & Goliath Complete Collection -72 Episodes - 5 DVD Box Set

I bought this as a gift for a pastor friend of mine. He said his children really love the videos.

These cartoons were on TV when I was a child in the early sixties.If you want your children to learn to 1- be respectful to others 2- treat everyone the way they wish to be treated regardless of color/religion/station in life then these need to be seen by them. They do not preach !!! they present situations the characters work through . If I had children that were in K thru 3 I would make it a point to have them watch them . Parents should watch them too to get a handle on discussing problems in a way a child can understand

This is the ultimate release (if not the only?) of this good old series. The picture quality is the best possible transfer for the films, without mega extra expensive refining. The sound is (more noticable with headphones) in a psuedo-stereo effect. Also somewhat muffled here & there and could have been re-equalized. But considering the expense for those types of enhancements, both picture & sound are good if not better than they looked & sounded on tv broadcasts. Clokey Production fans will also be relieved (& happy) that the original soundtracks -- including the voices, sound FX & classic John Seely / Capitol Production Music cues -- are here.As for the content of the stories & everything else, they obviously are from the 1950s & 60s "suburban Christian family" ideals & morals. Those settings in real life (seem to) have deteriorated, but the Gospel teachings are timeless & universal for those who want to be open minded and teachable. All in all, a great re-release of a nice old series.

I bought this because I watched it as a young person. It arrived with damaged packaging. I returned it to the UPS store the next day and received a replacement within just a couple days, which was in perfect condition. It was a very simple and quick process. And the kids love the videos. Thank you

I use to watch this as a kid and I loved it!!! I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old Granddaughter and she likes to watch when we watch it together. They are very educational to children on safety, being polite & forgiving others. Loving Family and having a devoted dog. It’s God’s messages in a way that children can understand. I LOVE THIS!!!!!!

Bought this for my niece for her 2nd birthday. Fun and educational for the whole family. I fully recommend.

Filled with God-centered biblical principles that are so desperately needed at this time. I recommend this as a good source of wholesome entertainment for children, and indeed for the whole family.

If you grew up in the 70s in these episodes, probably ran on your television on Sunday morning or afternoon. I got them because it just reminds me of when times were simpler all the episodes are here plus the special they did from the proceeds of a Pepsi commercial. I know Allison Abram from Little House on the Prairie Mentions that her parents were involved somehow in the series as she said they were very evangelical but the kids watch these in the 70s they were just cartoons that killed time and entertained us
